I lost my husband in February 2012. Our 27-year-old twin sons live with me when they do not work in Ireland, London or Denmark: Emmanuel is a cartoon animator and Jonathan an IT engineer in the start-up business.
Catherine purchased this apartment in 1984
Since I live onsite it is very easy to provide my guests with good service: it is very reassuring for them as well.
Although compact, the apartment is uniquely central and enjoys a magnificent view over the whole of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower twinkling in the distance at night, an extraordinary sight for all our guests. It is the perfect base to stay for a young couple as it is so reasonably priced.
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2011
Studio appartment was really great. It was the size of a usual hotel room in 3*-4* star hotel but vitually with all amenities you could need. Exactly as written in description on tripadvisor pages. The studio was very clean. The owner provided very accurate and thorough information regarding the studio, how to arrive and other important info. Furthermore, we were pleasently surprised to find additional info regarding nearby bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants etc. in the appartment. There was even a Paris tourist guide, so one less piece for your luggage!
We did not actually meet the owner, but the housekeeper was always available for any assistance.
Studio is really centrally located, within 10-15min walk from the Notre-Dame cathedral. Very close is metro station.
It is a typical old Parisian building, and you will actually have a view of the Eiffel tower.
We liked least the fact that during the summer there are many bakeries/ shops in vicinity that were actually closed for vacation, so we had to shop groceries near Gare de Lyon.
Overall, great value for the money, best way to experience Paris! Would stay again!
We had a wonderful stay. Our accommodations were very comfy with a view of the Effiel Tower from our window. If you stay here and are not too tired be sure to see the Effiel light up and sparkle at night. Easy to get to the metro, great neighborhood, wonderful view and there was a flee market on our street on the weekend with some interesting finds.
First of all I would state I am a solo traveller who is flexible, fit with a thirst for experiences outside the norm. The studio was ideal for my situation, the window would open for fresh air, the split system air conditioner was great when you wished to block out the street noise from below (the quietest I have ever experienced). The view across the Bassin de l'Arsenal to the west of the city scape to the Eiffel Tower prevented cabin fever. The best attribute was Catherine who was more than helpful with anything reqd (only 1 floor away), but at the same time gave you personal space if so desired. The lift stopped working for half day and then started again, no big deal. If you would like down to earth, honesty and a great location with views - this should appeal to you. PS: I am not a reality officer or real estate agent, just a traveller from Australia.
Charming property with large french windows. Clean, efficient, comfortable, perfect for a stay in Paris for two.
Great shower! Centrally located, in a charming neighborhood, great shops and restaurants in the surroundings, just a few steps from the Gare de Lyon. The host is delightful, helpful and welcoming. We dream of coming again,

What sells this apartment on paper is the view of the Eiffel tower and the convenience to the metro stations. What we discovered is that Catherine is amazing. Her email responses were so quick to every query we had. We arrived late on a Sunday and Jeni (the housekeeper) let us in. The apartment is very clean and fully stocked with essentials. I particularly liked the coffee machine. Both Catherine and Jenni are fantastic! It's always a tiny bit scary using a private apartment as apposed to a hotel but Catherine really makes you feel well taken care of and all payments and refunds of security deposits worked without any issues. We would highly recommend this apartment to everyone. To be a totally fair review there are a couple of minor things that I should mention, if you're 6 foot tall the bathroom might be a bit of squeeze, also if you have a lot of luggage you may need to re-gig the table location to open up all the suitcases but for this view, the price and particularly for Catherine's attentiveness it's still awesome and highly recommended.
I spent 3 weeks in this studio over the Christmas - New Year period. I found it was exactly what was required as I did not spend a lot of time in the studio, it is close to the Metro & very easy to get around Paris. The view - it is exactly as shown in the ad. You can sit on the bed & view the Eiffel Tower. Catherine was very helpful & had all information you could want in the studio on arrival. She even organised additional channels on the TV to cater for English speaking channels. Any queries you may have, Catherine will answer very quickly. The studio is very clean & well maintained - as shown in the ad, there is only a small table for dining & no sofa for sitting. I have recommended this studio to my friends who are considering travelling to Paris.

The metro station that services the apartment, Quai de la Rapee, is directly connected to Roissy Airport via Gare du Nord.
