Why Owner chose Arsenal
This is part of my home : the independent apartment is located on the 6th floor (lift). I live on the fifth floor. So it is very easy for me to provide my guests with good service : it is very reassuring for them as well. I am allowed by French law go rent it out for a maximum of 120 days per year.Since I live onsite it is very easy to provide my guests with good service: it is very reassuring for them as well.
What makes this Apartment unique
Although compact, the apartment is uniquely central and enjoys a magnificent view over the whole of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower twinkling in the distance at night, an extraordinary sight for all our guests. It is the perfect base to stay for a couple and is so reasonably priced! This is an area where real people live and has all the coffee shops, stores and eating places that they demand. No overpriced tourist traps.

The View Seals the Deal
I'm partial to having rooms with a view. When I'm tired from traveling or long days of site-seeing, I want to be able to rest in my room and still have a sense of the city that I'm visiting. Catherine's apartment offered the perfect experience for this. From the bed, the Eiffel Tower can be viewed twinkling on the hour framed in an opened, traditional French window. From the window, one sees water and boats below, the Bastille July column to the right, and what I believe to be the dome of the pantheon slightly to the left. The view is fabulous.
The room itself is just as pictured with pink walls that lend to its charm. It was very clean, had a comfortable bed, and a spacious shower. The apartment is serviced by an elevator, which is a real plus after long days. The location is convenient with an easy walk to the Bastille and Marais, and a bit father but very doable walk to the Latin quarter and Notre Dame. I easily walked all three areas from the apartment in one day. For arrival, departure and further destinations, the Metro is less than a block away making coming and going convenient. The host Catherine was responsive in our communications, and Jeni, who met me on arrival, was gracious and welcoming.

Thank you for the very nice review Wendy ! Although we did not get to meet, I am glad the apartment was to your liking. Kind regards. Catherine
July 14 fireworks - Perfect location!
Great location for the 14 Juillet - fireworks were visible from the studio window!
As a frequent visitor and former resident of Paris, I knew that I wanted a location which would allow me to feel connected to the city via the view from the window, especially for the July 14 festivities. Perfect choice!
It was very hot during my stay, and the air conditioning was a life saver, and quiet so as to allow one to sleep very comfortably. The studio is well equipped with a microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, small fridge, toaster, two hot plate cooker, TV, hairdryer, and good wifi. There were plenty of dishes and cooking supplies for my needs. There are as many towels as one could want, clean linens, hangers, drawers for storage, a decent sized table and two chairs, even a shopping caddie to bring supplies back from the supermarket! The bed, although firm and comfortable, seemed to be actually two single beds together which created a depression in the middle of the bed - a discomfort for a couple.
Jenny, the housekeeper, who welcomed us, is the best part of this accommodation! She is helpful, always available, hospitable, flexible, and eager to please. She did our laundry one day when we were out - returning everything folded and ironed. What a jewel the owner has in her assistant!
The building is secure and clean, with an elevator (a rarity for a top floor studio), and a gardien. The location, although well situated in regard to public transport (metro and buses near by) requires a walk of a few blocks to access restaurants, boutiques, cafes, and other signs of life.
The studio is very quiet when the windows are closed, but with the windows open there is a lot of street noise due to the constant vehicular traffic. But it is fun to watch the passing of boats in the Bassin de l'Arsenal, and on the Seine.
There was some trouble with payment through the website (two connected sites which were sending me and the owner conflicting messages) that created a bit of difficulty at the beginning, but once the initial payment went through, the process was painless.
A great stay in Paris - for those not so familiar with the city, there was a wealth of information in the studio regarding places to visit, eat, and how to get around using public transport. You don't need to bring maps or a travel guide!
Thank you Catherine & Jenny for a great stay!
Thank you very much for the detailed review Marianne. I have yet to figure out how to join the two beds together better to make a kingsize without a "depression" in the middle.
Yes, Jenny is a jewel. Actually I was the one who washed and pressed your linen over the week end as Jenny is free on those days ;-)
My husband and I stayed here for two nights in May. It was a lovely, quiet apartment. Very conveniently located to transportation and food.
Thank you very much Allison. You are welcome any time. Kind regards. Catherine
Welcomed and beautifully informed.
Catherine's greeting and complete information made us feel welcomed to the city of Paris. The view was fantastic.
My first time in Paris. When I come back, my first choice for lodging will be here!
Great location. GREAT VIEW. The picture on the website is for real. Didn't get to meet Catherine, but Jenny was great. She apologized for her English but it was WAY better than my French. She was very helpful. Loved the water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. Very comfortable bed. Good security. Need a code to get in the main door and a key fob to get in the interior door that leads to the hall with the elevator. TINY elevator but it worked quite well. At this point I can truthfully say that this is where I stay whenever I'm in Paris. I would like to keep that the truth.
Thank you very much for the superb review. I am sorry I did not get to meet you as I was away in the provinces those days. Hopefully we will meet some day. Hope your time in Spain is pleasant as well. Kind regards.
Great location and impressive views
A lovely clean apartment, in a great location, close to public transport.
Visitor attractions within walking distance.
Really impressive views, especially at night.
The host is really friendly and helpful. Recommended.
There you very much, Sion, for the kind words. I hope you will use the apartment again. Take care !
