A large wooden sundeck complete with lounge chairs adjoins the pool area.
Back to the condo and decide whether to make a reservation on the Dolphin Watch boat, go fishing, sight-see, or walk over to Blackbeard's for a quick tasty snack. Afterwards we may take the trolly and go downtown for some shopping. Always something to do on South Padre Island. Come on down!!

I was born and raised on a ranch in the South Plains of West Texas. I am an only daughter with three brothers. In the summer of 1952 after I was grown and married my family visited my brother who had recently moved to the Rio Grande Valley just west of Harlingen at La Feria. We made a day trip to Port Isabel and crossed the Laguna Madre in a fishing boat to South Padre Island. No bridge, no motels, no shops. Only the Jetty's Restaurant and small marina! My little girl and I played in the surf and built sand castles while the guys fished in the surf..From that day to present time we have been in love with this beautiful Island. We have watched it grow from that small beginning to this current bustling city with a skyline of high condo buildings, shops and restaurants.
Even then I never dreamed I would own this gorgeous condo right on the beach! I love South Padre Island and I love my wonderful three bedroom condo in Suntide II.
Jo Ann Price purchased this condo in 2010
We chose Condo #501 for it's location on the corner of the top floor of Suntide II Condominiums. It is a nice, roomy condo with three bedrooms and two baths. With the tall ceiling in the living area and the master bedroom it feels spacious and inviting and is like a penthouse! The new leather sofa and loveseat are comfortable places to relax and catch a little entertainment on the 42 inch TV. Since it is on the corner and top floor this condo is a nice quiet place to relax. It makes a nice family retreat for one or two families on vacation or for a couple here for a month or two in the winter.
We love the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. It is so relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the waves, the people, and the soaring birds. Often there is a ship anchored out in the gulf waiting to be cleared to go up Brownsville Ship Channel to Port Brownsville. Kite and sail boarders love the bay and the gulf. wind is usually perfect! South Padre Island is a lovely place for vacation or just a few days getaway. A free trolley runs the length of the Island and across to Port Isabel. Bay and deep sea fishing are available. The dolphin watch boat is great for all the family. Go about a mile north to the Turtle House and see the very small turtles up to the giants. As you travel highway 100 you will find excellent places to hunt for sea shells. Back in town there is good shopping and wonderful places to eat. Very good food!!
