By FAR, the best VRBO rental in Tuscaloosa!!

  • 5 of 5

This place is PERFECT for a local getaway for the family! Lake access, horse back riding, 4 wheeler trails, and gorgeous views. Linda and her family were so welcoming and kind. We brought our 3 girls and our dog and truly had the best time. This will definitely be our “go-to” from now on when we want to come stay on the lake!

Awesome property

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful ranch estate, very nicely done cottage. Owner Linda was great. And the animals are happy to see you!

Not primarily a lake experience, but a unique one not to be missed. A hike to stores and UA, but mostly on fast roads. If you want to truly get away, highly recommended.

Charming farmhouse with awesome access to Lake Tuscaloosa

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in the house with our two college-aged daughters and it was so charming and comfortable! Perfect kitchen for just making a simple breakfast and lovely beds! The best parts were petting their fabulous horses and walking down to the lake and going paddle boarding and kyaking! Gorgeous, private location and beautiful spot on the lake!

Great Property!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful visit and greatly appreciate the warmth and kindness extended to us by Linda and her daughter Charlotte. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and being able to enjoy the animals on the farm, take part in the trail ride and more, was very much appreciated. We will definitely come back!

Fantastic stay in rural Tuscaloosa

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect stay at this lovely lake/ horse farm. Thank you Linda and Aerial for sharing your little slice of heaven with our family. We spent time fishing and canoeing on the lake which is just a few steps from the house, rode their darling horses and had fun feeding the goats and pig. We drove to Tuscaloosa daily to enjoy barbecue and the River Walk. The house is perfectly furnished with everything to make your stay comfortable including WiFi, a well stocked kitchen and barbecue. Until next time.....

Lovely Setting for an Extended Weekend in the Country

  • 5 of 5

Our daughter and 11 year-old grandson drove from Atlanta to join us and our two dogs for a short get-away. Even though it rained off and on, our stay was a real pleasure. The lodge is fairly close to Tuscaloosa, but is tucked away on a gravel road in a very quite piece of countryside. The few cars we saw belonged to our hosts, Linda and Ariel, and their neighbors. The feeling was both relaxing and safe. Linda and Ariel live just down the hill from the lodge and were great hosts, even inviting my husband to go horse back riding with them and their friends.

We hiked on various trails, and went down to the lake and used the boats to paddle around. Our grandson enjoyed getting to know the goats and horses and loved his riding lesson, but the high point for him was feeding apples to the horses and a very friendly donkey.

The lodge is more spacious and comfortable than I had expected -- even after having seen the pictures -- and the fenced yard was secure enough to contain two energetic medium/large dogs who really wanted to get out and chase the goats and horses. There are three bedrooms: one with a king bed, one with a full/queen bed and one with two twin beds. The king and full/queen beds were very comfortable. We didn't use the twin beds. There is a huge window between the living room and the twin room so there is no privacy for that bed room. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with both a shower and a whirlpool tub.

We had a great stay and will certainly go back for other family get togethers. Thank you Linda and Ariel!
