This house went beyond our expectations, much nicer than it appears online. Everything was just great. Though the master fireplace pilot was off, a quick phone took care of the issue immediately. Home was very clean and comfortable.
This was everything we expected and more! The home was lovely and the customer service at TLUXP was outstanding. We will definitely be returning.
The house and location were what we expected. The booking process was very accommodating. Very customer friendly and responsive. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
My buddies and I have been skiing together for many years and chose Tahoe for this year's trip. Too bad, because of the drought the snow was awful. However, that was certainly not the property owner's fault and the house was OK.
The house is actually in something of a residential neighborhood rather than in a vacation home type of neighborhood. Lacking snow on the ground made the area looked a little less charming. However, once inside we found the house in good condition with an attractive layout and nice kitchen.
Since we were a group of guys we knew we needed to use the bunk beds. It took a while for us to figure out that there was actually a trundle underneath one of the beds in the bunk room. On the first night one of our group had to sleep on a couch until we figured this out. Bottom line; a little clearer instruction sheet on how to use all of the house's facilities would have eliminated that confusion.
All in all, a good property.
We have been renting houses annually in the area for more years than I can remember so we know what we want in a rental home. The house is in a nice quiet location. There was sufficient parking for five cars. When we arrived it was clean which I can't always say is the case for other houses we have rented. The kitchen is very nice above average quality appliances. It had a good variety of utensils and gadgets. The non-stick pots and pans are of good quality and not scratched which was refreshing to find. It has a good knife set so I didn't have to use the one I brought. The kitchen/dining/living room area forms one great room which is where our extended family spent most of their time. There were plenty of bar stools and seating around the dining table to accommodate our group of 7 adults and 5 kids at meal times. The living room area could have used another chair but we brought one in from the master bedroom. The master bedroom is upstairs and it's huge. A nice feature was a long table and chair with a lamp. If you need more than three plugs for your electronic gear you should bring a power strip. It is good place to escape to when the grandkids get to loud. The other two bedrooms and the rec room were small but adequate. A plus was the expendables like toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, etc. were supplied.
Now for the caveats. The queen bedroom didn't have a true dresser and lacked sufficient drawer space. The drawers in the master bedroom dresser were all difficult to open and close and it is in need of repair or replacement. The closet in the master bedroom was a postage stamp. It had at most 36" of hanging space because what is probably a nice walk in closet had been partitioned off by the owners. To get to the hooks behind the door you had to squeeze into the closet and then close the door enough to get behind it. While annoying it was sufficient for our needs.
Overall our family enjoyed their stay. We won't be back only because we are looking for more bedrooms next year.
