About Danielle Maguire
We are a family based in Boise, Idaho where we work in natural resource consulting. Despite having to move from Oregon years ago, we still love it and couldn't stay away!
Danielle Maguire purchased this House in 2010
Why Danielle Maguire chose Manzanita
Manzanita is our favorite beach community on the Oregon Coast. The town is laid-back and small, yet has a variety of services making it extremely accomodating, livable and fun. The area is beautiful and the 7-mile beach is unmatchable. It is great for running, biking or walking. Manzanita is an extremely dog-friendly community and beach!
What makes this House unique
The walk to the beach is 4 blocks, and takes less than ten minutes. Runs on the beach; morning trips for coffee & donuts at the coffee shop, enjoyed out on the beach; sunset fires with smores; tidepooling at Arcadia or Cannon Beach; clamming at Nehalem State Park; and crabbing from Kelley's Marina are some of our favorite activities.

Everything was perfect at the house- so close to town! House was dog friendly, which was great. Will come again!
Cozy, centrally located
My family and I have been vacationing in Manzanita every summer for quite a few years. This was our first experience having to stay somewhere other than our friend's home. Danielle was so great to work with, answering all my pesky questions right away. House was clean and well appointed. I think it's actually quite a bit more spacious than the photos make it look. Especially close to all the shops and both grocery stores, which proved extremely convenient for us. Kids loved the added bonus of bikes to ride. Thanks again, Danielle! I'd highly recommend your place to anyone.
Good location, ok house
Manzanita is a great town and this house was well located just blocks from the beach and close to shops. It had nice space for my family. Owner was very easy to work with. The house accommodates dogs, which is great if you are a pet owner. We are not, and it was tough to get past the faint dog smell throughout the house. We also felt like the house was furnished very cheaply. For example bed mattresses were thin and not very comfortable, deck chairs were falling apart, and some furniture was wobbly. Would go back to manzanita, not sure we'd stay in same house again.
Great location! Pretty nice house
We stayed here for 4 days in July. We were unable to bring our dog, but it is set up nicely if you want to bring your pup. The kitchen is more than adequate for preparing meals, which we did on several occasions. It's a great location. Easy to walk to the beach, and several local restaurants to dine at.
I would agree with another recent review that the beds are not very comfortable, and the bunk bed upstairs is wobbly and not suitable for adults to use. The bottom bunk has a futon mattress that is rock hard. Also, the bikes are in disrepair and not very safe to use, and uncomfortable to ride.
The owner is responsive and very easy to deal with. I would consider staying here again.
Clean, comfortable, and convenient.
Rustic on the outside but fresh and clean on the inside. Reasonable walk to the beach and shorter walk to the (expensive) grocery store. Fully fenced yard for your dog. Toys for the little kids. And, of course, it's in Manzanita. And take the two mile drive south to Wanda's for breakfast at least once during your stay.
Loved the property! Everything was clean and in great condition. Perfect for our party of 4. Thank you!
The location of the house, both within Manzanita and along the coast, make it an ideal home base for a variety of activities. In Manzanita, one can enjoy the shops, wine bar, restaurants, or massage offered on Laneda Avenue. A golf course is located on the southern end of town, and the City Park has tennis and basketball courts. Seven miles of continuous beach stretch from Neahkahnie Mountain to the north, to Nehalem State Park at the southern extent. The beach lends to many acitivities: walking, running, biking, beach-combing, surfing, swimming, campfires (and s'mores), and sunsets. Hiking opportunities surrounding Manzanita are endless; a book of local hikes is provided at the house. Clamming, crabbing, whale-watching, bird-watching and tidepooling can all be done in close proximity to Manzanita. At the house we provide clamming and crabbing equipment, as well as guidebooks and information on how and where to do this! Several breweries and wineries are also located within a couple hours drive.
