About Sean Pizel
I live in Atlanta with my Fiancee and we love to spend as many weekends as possible relaxing at this cabin, though I can't get her to help me clean the fish.
Sean Pizel purchased this Cabin in 2009
Why Sean Pizel chose Blue Ridge
Me and my Father built this cabin in 2009. We live in Atlanta, but stay here or at his cabin next door whenever we can. But we can't bear to see them unused, so we rent it out when we aren't there. We know you will love it. Also we are in the heart of the Aska adventure area.
What makes this Cabin unique
We put a lot of effort into making this the perfect place to entertain friends and family. We love to cook so we outfitted the kitchen with everything we would ever need. We love games, so we put in a Dart Board, a shuffle Board, and even a ring on a string (it's a local thing). The hot tub seats 6, the river fits even more. Some local friends carved us a beatuful door, and you will be amazed by the local stone countertops. I have a hard time calling this place a cabin, since it's nicer than my home and you will hardly be roughing it, but when you are sitting in front the fireplace with someone special to you, you'll absolutely love it.

Wonderful Family Vacation
Our vacation was one to remember, we had a wonderful time making many memories. The bonfire area could use some cleaning up, the kids were bummed but we put in a movie and made s'mores in the microwave. The drive way was a little more of a climb than we thought but it gave us a nice workout lol. We loved the area and the river.
Had a wonderful time. Beautiful weather and location.
Weekend with the boys
Awesome getaway to raft the Ocoee and get in touch with our wild side!
I’m writing this review for transparency purposes. If you are out of shape or have small children this property probably isn’t the right fit. From the river to the master bedroom there are 75 stairs. 30 in the cabin alone. Some of the decking was rotted and crumbling, as well as some of the outdoor furniture. There is no reliable seating around the fire pit area. The photo of the fire pit is not current . All but the rocks have been washed away. There is a wood table in the area but it is also rotted. The cabin is across the street from the river and with the summer foliage the view is minimal. The majority of my disappointment Is between the state of the fire pit area and the minimal view of of the river. My goal was to relax and enjoy the river on this trip and the cabin really wasn’t conducive for that purpose. On the positive side, the inside of the cabin is really nice and the owner’s father is very helpful and responsive. The master bed is firm, my spouse liked it, I didn’t. My son said the bottom bunk was very comfortable. For a pet friendly cabin it was very clean and had all the necessities. If you want a place to sit inside and cook, the cabin would be great. Of note, but not a concern for us: no useable darts and a large rose bush where the advertised hammock would hang.
Luxury home with a beautiful view.
My wife and I along with our daughter and three of her college friends stayed four nights here and we absolutely loved it! The home is quiet and very comfortable and it has everything we needed for our stay. It even had firewood for the fire pit which was unexpected! We intended to bring our own firewood but forgot so we were very happy to see that. We had our pets with us and as it turns out, Blue Ridge is a VERY pet friendly town. The Toccoa Riverside Restaurant has an area outside where dogs are allowed and they even have a menu for the dogs. Many of the shops in town set out waterbowls and treats and there is a pet adoption board prominently displayed in town. We went white water rafting on the Ocoee which was about thirty minutes away and really had the time of our lives there. There are hiking trails that start about a mile from the house and you can park your car and chose from a few different trails. we did the two mile hike and it was a very gradual grade and very enjoyable. After we ate at the Riverside restaurant the girls took the tubes we had and put in right there at the restaurant and floated back to the house .(not quite a two hour float). They had a blast as the Toccoa has a couple "fun" spots to keep them on their toes. There is more stuff to do close by than you could do in a week from ziplines to wineries so the location of this home is perfect. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the home was cool when we wanted it to be. Like I said, the owner has done a great job of making sure we had everything we needed right down to a grill. The hot tub was a hit with the girls too. The area is quiet as can be and while there are some other homes on the road you still have plenty of privacy. This home may not be for older people or those with disabilities as it has a long run of steps but I'm 62 and my wife is 55 and we didn't mind at all. The payoff is in the views you get and you ARE in north Georgia after all. Our stay was perfect and memorable largely due to this home!!
Thanks for the great photos Jeff!
Great stay! Many fun family memories were made! The cabin is beautiful and in a wonderful location right across from the Toccoa River. We can’t wait to come back again soon!
We can provide inner-tubes so you can float down the river!
