This is one of few houses so close to the ocean, yet with a very large yard and centrally located in the heart of everything Falmouth has to offer.
The beach is such an easy walk that some have even done it barefoot! You can build sandcastles, play a game of pickup volleyball or just explore the shoreline. Kids love the inlet behind the beach which is always teeming with little fish and crabs. There are plenty of beach toys, chairs and books at the house that you can use for many fun-filled days at the beach.
The backyard is large enough to play a game of whiffle ball, throw a Frisbee or let the clan run around to their hearts’ content. The screened-in porch flows onto a beautiful brick patio and then into the backyard - so everyone can be part of the family summer fun. There is a refreshing outdoor shower with separate changing rooms - perfect after a day at the beach, or for every morning! The house is set in a neighborhood with other beautifully maintained, picturesque Cape Cod houses. You can spend hours strolling or biking around the neighborhood admiring the houses and the views and breezes of ocean.
The large, modern eat-in kitchen is fully-stocked and centrally located in the house. It flows directly onto the breezeway and patio for easy barbecuing, and on the other end, into the large dining room and easily into the living room. There are plenty of pots, pans and utensils so you can cook-up a vacation feast, or order in from the many nearby restaurants.
Inside, enjoy the rustic charm of this large beach house. There are plenty of spaces for separate activities: watch movies in the living room, play games on the large table in the adjacent dining room, read quietly in the screened porch or out on patio, in the sunshine or under the stars, while you enjoy the summer ocean breezes. The house has 5 beautiful bedrooms, 4 upstairs and one downstairs.
The house is centrally located – you can stroll down the shoreline and to several Falmouth beaches. The house is also an easy walk in the other direction to Green Pond Marina where you can join the locals who fish from the platform. The ferry for a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard is only a 5-minute drive from the house. You can also find great restaurants along the Falmouth Harbor – or just admire all the boats. The Harbor also is home to a bandshell where musicians play during the summer and where Falmouth hosts its classic car shows. Picturesque Falmouth Main Street is also nearby, where you can find many quaint Cape Cod restaurants and shops. Or you can spend an evening in the ballpark cheering on the Falmouth Commodores who play other Cape Cod teams in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Groceries and movie theatres are a 5-minute drive in the other direction.
