The Ross Residence is a stylish and spacious apartment in the historic and vibrant Leith area of Edinburgh. Situated on the top two floors of a B listed Georgian building, the apartment or 'double upper' is ideally situated for an Edinburgh vacation with free on street parking and excellent bus links to the city centre.

The nearby Leith waterfront with no less than three Michelin starred restaurants, iconic award winning pubs, real ale venues and famous seafood restaurants and the Scottish Malt Whisky Association is just a 10 minute stroll away. So no need for a designated driver. Excellent shopping and cinemas can be found at the nearby Ocean Terminal also the home to the Royal Yacht Britannia. The area is also home to the

Scottish Executive.

The newly refurbished apartment offers distinctive and comfortable accommodation over its two floors. A perfect base for a romantic getaway or honeymoon ( we often offer two person discounts during less busy times) the apartment sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms.

The spacious masterbedroom with shower next door has a kingsize Louis bed and antique Scottish crafted furniture. Upstairs two twin bedded rooms are styled with an eye to funky retro chic. The bright, well-equipped kitchen diner is also styled in retro chic wheras the spacious, high ceilinged lounge and dining room have a more traditional Edinburgh ambience with Welsh leather chesterfield sofas, antique carpets and Scottish and Italian art. Original Georgian architectural features such as beautiful cornices, deep skirting boards, wooden window shutters, polished floorboards, and stripped and waxed wooden doors add to the authentic Edinburgh experience.

The apartment has a bathroom with a double ended steel bath, a separate shower room with slate floor and a smart, travertine floored WC cloakroom.

Plenty fluffy towels including bath sheets are provided and our feather duvets are made in Scotland. Our stylish bedlinen is 350 thread count Egyptian Cotton. Scottish soaps are provided.

You'll find a welcome tray with complimentary tea, freshly ground coffee and Tunnocks Caramel wafers. Your breakfast pack includes organic muesli, fresh fruit, orange juice milk and bread - all you need to set you up for your first few Edinburgh mornings. For those who prefer to dine out for breakfast too, there are numerous friendly cafes and eateries nearby. Our local deli Relish serves up fantastic coffee and wonderful snacks all day long. On Sunday mornings you'll want tomake your way to the award winning King's Wark pub - dating back to King James - and join local residents in their favourite all day cooked breakfast in this very old very atmospheric building.

The apartment is a few yards from bus stops and a fifteen minute bus ride to all that central Edinburgh has to offer. The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Museums, Art Galleries and more shops and restaurants are all within easy reach and a day saver ticket away.

Lovely apartment, plenty of space for six, excellent location near public transportation

What a beautiful home! The four kids enjoyed having their own upstairs area (and my bride and I enjoyed the privacy of a separate floor as well!). We had a very smooth transition, moving both in and out of the apartment. The apartment is so beautifully decorated, we took several photos to remind ourselves of the interior. The location was very convenient: the double-decker bus stops just at the corner every 15 minutes. Then after a 15-minute ride, we arrive at the Royal Mile in central Edinburgh.

Owner's Response: We were delighted that this lovely family chose to stay at the Ross Residence for their anniversary weekend on their Grand Tour. I know they enjoyed dining out for a special meal at one of our best seafood restaurants within walking distance of the apartment and I'm glad they found the location convenient for all their Edinburgh adventures.
