This ancient building is from the ‘700 century, with large stairs in a top location: short walk to major museums, Vatican museum, Saint Pieter, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Piazza Farnese, Colosseum, Trevi fountain: here lived the great Italian composer Gioacchino Rossini.

Enter the apartment to find a sunny living room with very high wooden ceilings , walls are decorated in white and antiques are combined with modern furniture. On the left you find one of the two double bedrooms with queen bed, a small balcony and its own bathroom with shower and washing machine. All around is full of built-in wardrobe. From the living room, going up on the wooden stairs you arrive on the second double bedroom with old wooden ceilings. From the living room you can enter the double room with a bank bed and wooden platform where once there was a double bed. Then passing from the beautifully tiled with Vietri tiles kitchen, and fully furnished, you end up in the last bedroom, with the second bathroom and a balcony.

Why The Owner chose Centro Storico

I have bought this apartment last year having sold a shop that my mother left me. After my mother passed away I inherited also the tenant of the shop who decided to stop paying the rent. I found very difficult to deal with this tenant so I decided to sell the shop and buy this apartment of which I immediately fall in love. The fact that the Musician Rossini lived in this building made the apartment even more attractive to me. It is very close to where I leave, it is very quite, despite it is 80 meters from Piazza Navona and behind Piazza del Pasquino, it is full of light, cheerful, with beautiful old ceilings and so cosy.

Perfect location to explore Rome on foot!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is exactly as advertised....cozy and comfortable. Fiora went above and beyond through the whole process of renting her apartment and welcomed us when we arrived. She was always available to answer our questions....thankyou Fiora!!! We were a group of women who enjoy walking and the Vatican, Campo di fiori, Piazza Navona, Spanish steps, pantheon, Jewish ghetto, Trevi fountain , etc., etc. Were all within easy walking distance. Also enjoyed some great meals at restaurants right by the apartment. An added was very quiet at night so we had no problem sleeping!!!!! When I return to Rome I will definitely book with Fiona!!!!!!

Perfect Location to Experience Rome’s Sights and Flavors!

  • 4 of 5

The Leutari apartment offers premium location at a discount price.

The location is central to so many of Rome’s top sights and restaurants, and the price is half of what a hotel might cost. We savored walking into the cool, air-conditioned apartment after a long day of touring Rome in the July heat.

Our group of 7 (4 adults and 3 small children) enjoyed 5 nights here. NOTE-Expect to climb five flights of stairs to reach the apartment. No elevator. In addition, there are stairs inside the apartment to access one of the bedrooms. There is little to no availability for parking in the area. Expect to park in a parking garage. We used the Terminal Gianicolo. It cost around 28 Euro per day and is about a 20 minute walk from the apartment.

The apartment has two bathrooms and three bedrooms with the possibility of a fourth bedroom adjacent to the kitchen. Two bedrooms and the living room have air conditioning. The third bedroom upstairs gets warm without A/C, but it is not too bad. Overall, the apartment stays very cool even in the hottest of the summer months.

The kitchen was fully equipped and even had salt, sugar and coffee already provided.

Cleanliness. Overall the apartment was clean. However, the apartment is older and could use some updating. The living rooms furniture looked well worn. Both bathrooms could have been cleaner-there was mold in both showers.

The owner, Fiora, is easy to contact via phone or email. The manager, Alan, is very polite and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed working with them both during our stay.

We enjoyed our stay here and would gladly return!

Excellent location, good deal for 9 people

  • 4 of 5

We were 9 people composed of adults, and young teenagers. We loved that it could accomodate all of us. The location is perfect and we got to walk to the key sights including Plaza Venicia, Colosseum, Trevi, etc!! The owner responded quickly to all our inquiries and we were also warmly received by the manager Alan who was extremely helpful with all our questions, requests, and arranging taxi. The apartment is in the 4th floor (technically 5th floor if you count the ground floor as 1), so can be an issue for older people. We didn't really mind because we needed exercise after eating all the good pizza and pasta! There's also the popular gelato shop Frigidarium that's right on the corner and a small grocery store! That's the best gelato ever so don't forget to try it! We also suggest that Italian leather handbag store on the corner of Vittorio Emmanuel and Leutari. We found that it has the best selection and price (I think we visited 5 different stores all over the shopping district of Rome). We ended up buying 7 leather purses and handbags all authentic "Made in Italy". For the ladies/girls in our party, that's one of the best souvenirs we brought home.

This is an absolutely perfect place in the heart of Rome. Fiora was extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. The airline lost our luggage, and Fiora went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The house itself is wonderful; great location, easy walks to the Coliseum, the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. Couldn't recommend more.

Great Location in Rome!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a 2 week trip to Italy, and our first stay was in Rome. We stayed at this apartment for 4 nights and it worked out great for us. Fiora arranged driver pick-ups from the airport that was very helpful, as this was our first time in Italy and not familiar with Rome. She met us when we arrived and showed us the apartment. Fiora was very helpful from the beginning when we booked, to when we arrived and during our stay. We were 3 couples traveling together.

The apartment looks just like the pictures as advertised. It was nice to have air conditioning, but the one loft bedroom has just a fan. It was a bit challenging for the one couple that stayed in the room with bunk beds (the bedroom that was off the kitchen just has a single bed), but we knew that from the pictures on the website when we booked.

The location of the condo was very centralized to the usual visitor attractions. We walked most everywhere, but there are city buses also. It is on the 4th floor and quite a few stairs to the apartment (no elevator), so take note if many stairs are an issue.

We would definitely recommend this apartment to others that are visiting Rome. We had a great stay here.
