About Gina

Of the homes we have owned, this is by far the most fascinating and enjoyable! The waterfront is very active, local sights and great restaurants are within walking distance. A quick drive and you are in the heart of Seattle visiting Pike Place Market, the Space Needle or shopping. I think you will find this is the perfect location for your Seattle vacation.

Gina purchased this house in 2008

What makes this house unique

I am no scientist, but I have read that in environments with salt tinged sea air (like this Waterfront) an abundance of negative ions(electrically charged atoms) are found, which increases the brains serotonin levels, thereby giving an overall feeling of well being and energy. That's pretty great!

Enchanting garden home overlooking the wate

  • 5 of 5

What I loved, was what an unexpected jewel Gina and her lovely home both are!

Arriving at the home, I appreciated the walk down the stairs through the well maintained property. It's truly a little garden setting with neat footpaths, beautiful vegetation and summer flowers, and being able to hear the fountain. The private entrance is well appointed, and truly private - I didn't feel like we were ever infringing upon the owner coming and going.

The house is spectacular! Sweeping water views. Honestly, if you're on vacation take some time to just relax and not run around the city. This is a million dollar view complete with frolicking Sea Lions, pelican, heron, and we even saw salmon jumping. The activity level outside the window isn't overwhelming - it's peaceful to watch all the boats glide in, and the trains coming in over the bridge were really fascinating. We simply enjoyed watching all of the activity. We also never felt like we were too loud. Being a family of five with older children, we don't have runner/jumper/criers but we have a lot of boisterous activity, laughter and sometimes teen sibling altercations. We felt comfortable just BEING, and honestly everyone had a phenomenal time!

Gina has thought of every detail. I appreciated the beautiful comforters, the high quality thread count sheets. I learned a lot about using "Alexa" and thought it was cool the number of devices scattered through all the rooms, including the kitchen. The towels in the bathroom were pretty, there was a lot of soaps and shampoo, and neat little decorative touches..... Down to the shower floor mat which is so pretty it's almost a shame to use it.

I'm used to a fairly large chef's kitchen at my own home, and this kitchen is well appointed with every amenity. We cooked - and I mean we cooked - stopping to pick up food at the close by Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and even some salmon from the Fisherman's dock! The one night I didn't want to go out or cook, we utilized Grub Hub and had Thai delivered from a restaurant in Ballard.

All in all - I adored Gina and her lovely home. She truly opens her house up and shares it with her guests. I just fell in love with the area and it's my new favorite! I cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful Property & Location!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week and all we could say was WOW. You are in for a visually stimulating treat if you stay here between the wildlife, boat parades and train/bridge. Walk to Discovery Park, Ballard and a quick drive downtown. We were always anxious to get back from our sightseeing because the house was so amazing. Seattle itself was terrific except it did lack cultural diversity which felt odd coming from a vibrant and culturally diverse area. Restaurants and area activities are out of this world, even for the hard to please! The rental also has an added bonus - it draws you in to becoming "unplugged". Even our teenagers never turned on the TV and stayed off their devices more than I can ever remember. Can't say enough about the rental, except I wished I owned it and could live here!!!

Stay Here!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Gina’s beautiful house with our two adult kids after attending a wedding on San Juan Island. The only one in our family who had ever visited Seattle was my husband and he warned us ahead of time we would not want to return to Maryland. He was right. Gina’s place was the perfect home base for our stay. The home is well appointed, clean, comfortable, and the views of the harbor and beyond never got old.

On the first day, we couldn’t rally to go downtown because of all the visual stimuli we were taking in from the deck or through the huge living room windows. Not to bore you with nature details, but we saw seals, herons, sea otters, kingfishers, and hummingbirds. Ho hum! The Ballard Locks are a short walk away. The ship traffic, trains, and salmon ladders kept my husband entertained for hours. For getting downtown, we opted for hassle-free public transportation (bus) which we picked up in another section of Magnolia.

Bottom line… Gina is a lovely person and we can wholeheartedly recommend that you stay at this great place when you visit Seattle. We hope to stay there again sometime.

p.s. - Don’t forget to visit the Fremont Troll…
