About Nan Stephens

We bought this wonderful home in 2003. It had been used as a vacation rental since it was built in 1998. We just loved it so much, we couldn't move out! We think you will love it too!

Why Nan Stephens chose South Central

This home boasts great panoramic views and seclusion and is still centrally located in the Pikes Peak area. You can get away from it all and still have easy access to just about everything anyone would want. The great outdoors with Colorado mountains, a lake, and abundant wildlife are right out the door! Historic Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City, with their unique shops and quaint restaurants are within 10 minutes. I loved the property!

  • 5 of 5

The property was amazing and the location is perfect! Being right outside of Colorado Springs gave you the feel of being secluded but you were also close to a lot of popular attractions. The owners are very attentive and helpful. The men who live in the apartments underneath were great as well. I would definitely recommend this property and would go back myself!

This was the perfect place for our family vacation. We had 4 adults, 2 kids and an infant. Very welcoming and friendly. Perfect spot to attractions. Great view and nice quaint area to pond, The Pantry, and walking trails. I would highly recommend. We hope to return soon!

Great Get Away!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful location - secluded town but only about 3 miles up the road from a bank, Walmart etc. Centrally located to numerous activities, including easy drive to Colorado Springs and Denver. Even closer are Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak Cog Train, Manitou Cliff Dwellings and several other must see attractions. Lodge was perfect for our family of 4. (Did find it a little odd the master bath has no door. Opens directly to master bedroom so felt a lack of privacy when needing to shower, etc.) Enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the town and watching the doe that likes to visit the back yard daily. View was amazing from here. We were also able to enjoy the music of the small restaurant in town (on the weekend) from our own deck which was nice. A lot of vacationers staying in Green Mountain Falls but no problems with noise or partying. Loved that we were able to bring our dog (but wish the back/side yard was better tended as it was overgrown and unusable.) The surrounding towns are almost all dog friendly so we were also able to bring him with us on most of our excursions, including dining out. Tons of geese and ducks to feed/watch swimming in the lake in the center of town. Lodge really did have everything we needed, including everything for the kitchen. Would definitely recommend this lovely town and home to anyone looking for a great get away!

We were in for a family vacation to see Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and other local attractions. Great location to see the sights and also get away from it all.
