Family friendly, authentic log cabin
My husband and our two kids, age 4 & 7, stayed here after Christmas while visiting family in Asheville. We loved the cabin and it’s unique decor. It was the perfect size for the four of us, and very family friendly. My only complaint was that there wasn’t a hot tub ;)
Mimosa & family, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our Chestnut Cabin and found it to be perfect for your family. We have tried to furnish the cabin so our guests are comfortable and relaxed while away from home. We agree, a hot tub would be a perfect addition:) Please be sure to tell your family & friends about us and come back for another visit anytime.

Comfy log cabin
We enjoyed staying in Wanda's rustic log cabin. It's very comfortable and well stocked. It's also located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mt. Pisgah. Great for hiking!
Linda, thank you so much for the 5-star review of Chestnut Cabin. We try very hard to make it as close to the comfort of your own home as possible. We also will provide our guests with any special request items we can possibly obtain in time for their arrival. You are right, the cabin is in a great location for hiking and taking in the beautiful scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are very hopeful you will tell your family & friends about us and that you will come back again real soon.
Happy Holidays to you and yours-Wanda and Marie
Comfy and relaxing
We had a great stay at the Rustic Chestnut Log cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to just relax before and after our daytime adventures sight seeing along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We cooked our meals and just had such a great time.
We enjoyed everything about it and would definately recommend to family and friends.
Thank you Wanda for letting us enjoy your cabin. Loved everything about the decor as well!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in this very up-to-date cabin. Clean, convenient, and all the technology to keep one in touch with the crazy world we live in. Location is great for exploring all the surrounding towns including Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Asheville, Black Mountain, Burnsville, and other small towns that make interesting day trips.
Thanks to Wanda and her mom for being so accessible during our visit. Recommended for couples and families who want to get away from the noise and clutter of city life!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and found the cabin to be to your liking. Mom and I work really hard to make sure our guests have a pleasant stay-the kind we would want to have ourselves when away from home.
We also agree, our location is perfect for exploring the surrounding beauty and having great day trips. We hope you got to go up to the Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP) and take in the splendor of that amazing scenic ride. Many small towns, such as Brevard & Waynesville, are accessible from the BRP. If you didn't have time to make this journey you have to come back :) You will always be welcome at Chestnut Cabin.
Safe & Happy Travels,
Wanda & Marie
Charming and very tidy
My two friends and I stayed at the Chestnut Cabin for 3 nights. We were immediately impressed with how cute it was, then even more impressed with how tidy it was. The beds were very comfortable. We had a few issues with water pressure, but the owner was quick to solve the problem. Water was hot and clean. We grilled out and loved hanging out on the pavilion. Location was a 20 minute drive to Asheville, less than 20 to Pisgah Mountain trail head, and about 30 minutes from Asheville Outdoor Center.
Carly, thank you for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Chestnut Cabin even though we did have a little issue with the water. We appreciate our guests letting us know when there is an issue so we can get it resolved quickly. Nobody wants hassles while on vacation and we totally understand. We're happy the weather was nice and you were able to get out and enjoy the area, especially the pavillion. We think we are in a perfect location to partake of all our area has to offer. It was a pleasure having you, and your friends, and we hope you will come back again soon.

Great location, nice, comfortable, affordable accommodations and a lovely family that owns and takes care of the place. Good access to hiking and riding around the North Carolina mountains.
Cherie, thank you so much for the kind review. We try very hard to make sure our guests are comfortable and have the accommodations they are used to having at their own home. Chestnut Cabin was built by our loving Dad and we treasure it with all our hearts. We are in a GREAT location for hiking in the mountains and being away from the hustle of the city. This is an especially wonderful time to be here with the changing of the seasons. Thank you again for choosing Chestnut Cabin as your destination. We hope you will come back & visit with us again. Please tell your family and friends about our little cabin tucked away very close to Mt Pisgah.-Wanda, Marie and Bill
