Average Accomodations

The chalet is in a great location in incline village, near many attractions on the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to make any type of meal. We had all our breakfasts, a few lunches and one dinner at the chalet. Our meals on the porch would have been more enjoyable if the the porch was in better condition. While the porch furniture is in good condition, the wrap around porch is dilapidated and almost looks to be unstable to walk on. You definitely need shoes or you will get splinters on your feet.

All the furniture in the chalet is oversize for the space. We nicknamed the chalet "The Hagrid House!". While there is ample drawer space for clothing, the closet space is almost non existent. We had about 6 inches of space to hang our clothes in the master bedroom and had to store our two pieces of luggage on the very limited floor space in the master. The second bedroom had zero space in the over stuffed closet. If this was winter time I do not know how you would hang more than two coats in the master closet.

The master bathroom had a broken shower door with a cheesy plastic shower curtain duck taped as the fix. We ended up using only the second bathroom shower.

I also highly recommend the owner install a few ceiling fans in the unit. While air conditioning is not necessary in Tahoe, ceiling fans would have made it much more comfortable when we returned home after a full day on the lake.

Comfortable and clean house

  • 5 of 5

The house was extremely clean and comfortable. Plenty of space and loaded with everything we needed. Very comfortable bed and couch. The shower door needs to be replaced and the cable TV reception fixed but otherwise the house is in great condition.

The only thing I had trouble with was driving up and down the hill especially in the middle of the biggest storm in years with a normal car and cables. A 4 wheel drive with chains was really needed otherwise it's not safe.

It is also important to know not to park on the street when it snows because we blocked the snow plow.

Kirk was very helpful finding the house in the snow storm.

It's just up the road from Diamond Peak.

I will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay as always!

  • 5 of 5

We always enjoy our stay at this cabin! This is our 5th time renting this cabin for ski trips, and we always look forward to returning. It's very clean and well furnished for a comfortable stay for our family of 5. We cook dinner most nights, and the kitchen is well equipped with cookware, bakeware, spices, etc. It's a quick 2-minute drive to Diamond Peak ski resort where we have season ski passes, and it's just a few more minutes away for groceries, restaurants, and the lake. Our favorite places nearby to eat are Mofo's Pizza, Azzara's for a special occasion, or Lone Eagle Grill on the lake for drinks in their cozy lounge with huge fireplace and lakefront view. The Tyrolia neighborhood is quiet and wonderful for taking a walk to see all the different Swiss chalet style homes. The owners are very accommodating and easy to work with. In this last trip, my son forgot his phone charger in the cabin, and they kindly offered to send it back to us in the mail. Thanks for opening up your cozy home for us all to enjoy! We'll certainly be back.

Perfect for us!

  • 5 of 5

We have been visiting Tahoe for many years and this home was perfect for our annual family reunion. All on one level, not too big, and so many nice features. Have never been in a rental with so many nice Dishes, glassware, etc. Away from the congestion and noise. Really enjoyed the deck in the morning especially. Want to return next year.

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely love this home! This was our 3rd summer staying here. We feel at home when we are here! The owners are wonderful! We love having access to the private beaches in Incline! This home has everything you need. It is clean and cozy! We stayed for 10 days and were so sad to leave! We cannot wait to return!

Wow! Great Mountain Retreat at a Reasonable Price.

  • 5 of 5

This charming Chalet is an excellent find located in a great location. Away from tourists and traffic, the Chalet is in a quaint village of similar styled mountain homes with a Swiss theme. Surrounded by tall pine trees and with nearby mountain views, you have your privacy and quiet... but can reach restaurants and shops in a short drive. The Chalet is well maintained with modern fixtures in both bathrooms and the kitchen. Wi-Fi and cable worked flawlessly. The full-sized washer and dryer came in handy after consecutive days of outdoor activities. The kitchen is fully equipped including a programmable coffee maker (waiting when you wake up!) and everything you need to prepare all three meals, including containers to store your leftovers. Highlights include the easy-to-operate gas fire place in the main living area and the grill on the deck. At nighttime, I enjoyed standing on the outdoor deck and looking up at the mountains: you can see the groomers hard at work in the distance at the nearby ski resort, and there was a full moon for two of the nights here. If visiting during the winter months, I recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle: the roads are cleared and well-maintained daily, but can become challenging during snow storms particularly in the drive up-hill into the village. I highly recommend this rental!
