We welcome you to our beach front home on the Island of Kauai!

Lae Nani is a premier resort located on the east side of Kauai. This location means that you have easy access to both the North Shore (Napali Coast) and South Shore (Poipu, Waimea Canyon and beyond). Close to the resort, there are several grocery stores and shops to provide for your needs and there are several fantastic restaurants within walking distance.

Our top (3rd) floor, two-bedroom fully renovated condo has all you need to enjoy your time here. When our family purchased the condo, before it was constructed, the builder advised purchase of our unit as the best one of the entire complex. It's unique location will give you private views of the ocean from not only one lanai off the main living area but also a lanai off the master bedroom. Because it is on the top floor, there is no noise from neighbors above. The building is situated in such as way that you will wake to the beautiful morning sun as it lights the Lae Nani gardens and ocean out front. In the afternoon, when the sun heats up, the angle of the building allows for enjoyment of the trade wind breezes as they flow through the screen doors and are stirred by the ceiling fans inside the unit.

Because we are beach front (not just ocean view) you have an unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean and the sand is only about 75 feet from the condo. There is a small keiki (children's) pool out front that is protected and perfect for small children who are ready to explore what the ocean has to offer. There is also a heated pool for Lae Nani guests. Most days you will look out to see surfers catching a great wave and endangered monk seals occasionally rest on the beach in front.

We listen to the feedback of our guests and are continually working to improve our condo. Our condo is family-friendly, with a portable crib, stroller, booster seat, games and books for children to enjoy. Free secured wireless internet, Netflix, Amazon Prime, blue ray player and a phone for you to use for local calls and free long distance to the US and Canada. Our kitchen is stocked with a few extras you may not find in other condos. We provide good knives and high quality utensils. Our beds and linens are comfortable and we stock your bathroom with locally-made beautiful soap. We have wood and tile flooring throughout and beautiful artwork for you to enjoy.

As you relax listening to the sound of the surf, you can plan your day, knowing you are never far from adventure.

Keywords: Our unit is a 3rd floor walk-up with two lanai's (decks); one off the living room and one off the master bedroom. The ocean is less than 75 feet from the building.

About Barb and Ric Berry

The unit is owned by Ric and Barb Berry and it was originally purchased by Ric's dad, Lang. Our office manager, Penny, does a fantastic job of managing the reservations and will always pass things along to us that need our personal attention. Ric is currently on the Board of Directors for Lae Nani and working on the preservation of some land we own on the north shore. Our kids have grown up loving Hawaii and our wish is that they will keep unit 535 in the family for generations to come.

Why Barb and Ric Berry chose Coconut Coast

This unit has been in the family since the original construction. Ric's father inspected the property prior to building and was advised by the developer to purchase our specific unit.

What makes this condo unique

The East side of Kauai (also known as the Coconut Coast) is unsurpassed in location and access to the rest of the island. The weather here is in between the wet zone (North Shore) and the dry zone (South Shore). We have a number of great restaurants within walking distance.

Really Nice Condo

We spent 5 wonderful nights at Lae Nani 535. It is a lovely, large condo which is very tastefully and artistically decorated. You walk into the living room and you are overwhelmed by the ocean view from your lanai. Wow! You are greeted with a welcome goody bag which includes nuts, spice, soap, coffee, etc. , The master bedroom is roomy and has a second lanai. We loved the grounds of the condo complex. It is beautifully landscaped, full of lawn and tropical plants. There are tennis courts and and a lovely pool big enough for swimming laps. There is a beach in front of the complex where people swim and fish when the waves are not too rough. The condo is without AC, but with good windows, breezes and ceiling fans, we were very comfortable. Since the place is right on the water, it is easy to take long walks along the beach. I would highly recommend this place. I will stay here again if we ever come back to Kapaa.

Fantastic Stay

We were there for 9 nights and enjoyed every minute. The unit had everything we needed for the four of us. Barbecued by the pool and had cocktails on the lanai's. We all slept well although it does get hot that time of year. The fans were enough to keep us cool while we were there and we were gone most days. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely, clean condo with perfect views

This is a wonderful, spacious condo with gorgeous top-floor views. It is clean and updated, includes helpful travel books, a nice welcome bag and other good information. It is thoughtfully decorated and the bedrooms are perfect for a family of four. There is a washer and dryer, too. All that was missing was a corkscrew! It is close to the airport and near the town of Kapaa which has lots of cute shops and food trucks. The beach is quite lovely and the grounds are impeccable, filled with beautiful plants, trees and flowers. Just a quick walk to the north and right on the beach is the Lava Lava Beach Club which has a great happy hour, really good food, corn hole and live music. A must if you stay here. We would come back to this spot again!

Cozy apartment with spectacular view

I had high expectations and was not disappointed!

Lae Nani was an exceptionally maintained complex with beautiful grounds, vast beach-front lawns and steps away from a secluded beach. I'm glad I picked this convenient location because it is close to most of the tourist spots (10 mins from Lihue, 5 mins from Kapaa, and ~1 h from both Waimea Canyon and Na Pali coast). Also very importantly, many cheap eats, local fav restaurants and grocery stores nearby. I picked Lae Nani mainly because of the bouldered beach outside that I read was nice for kiddos to played on... it was alright, but if that's what you look fwd to I'd recommend Lydgate beach instead (<10 mins drive)

The apartment is tastefully decorated and well maintained. Most importantly, very very clean. I have lived at seafront properties before, I still found the view from the living room and masterBR balcony jaw-dropping. I stayed there for 4 nights with my parents, husband and a 22 month-old. All enjoyed the amenities provided. The well-stocked kitchen and washer/dryer inside the apt definitely made vacationing with a young toddle much much easier. My mom said the highlight of our Kauai trip was the time she spent just chilled on the balcony watching the waves. My daughter had a blast running around on the lawn in front of our building. I honestly think this apt is one of the best at Lae Nani, based on the view, decor and customer service.

Water stopped for about 1 hour during a Wednesday afternoon when we were there. It came back eventually but the manager Penny was quick to respond to my calls.

Make sure you visit Sleeping Giant Grill (quick bites) and Hikilau Lanai (good for date nights) when you are there. Both are within walking distances. You can walk along the beach (past 2 other resort complex) to get to Hukilau Lanai.

I feel like I should point out that the apt has no A/C. We got by with all the balcony doors open and fans on. We were there end of May and it was still tolerable. My daughter did wake up everyday in sweats though. If you are heat intolerant you may want to think twice, esp if you are visiting during the hotter months. Also be reminded that it's on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. So if you have mobility issues or have elderlies with you, you may want to find a ground floor apt at this beautiful complex. I had lots of luggages and feel like my lungs were about to collapse after I loaded everything to the apt, but once I saw the view I knew it was worth it

Could Not Get Much Better!!!

View is amazing. Unit was well equipped and having use of the washer and dryer was perfect. Got our own beach, some beach toys and chairs, nice ocean front walk and centrally located in Kapaa we and our friends got to see it all. The owners and local rep were were great and responsive. And by the way Great WiFI!! Great value
