Throughout the house you'll enjoy log accents, warm wood ceilings and a variety of Alaskan animal mounts as well as custom ---locally made furniture made from beetle killed Spruce. You can relax by the gas fireplace, sit in the loft area or on the covered deck while enjoying spectacular Sunsets and quite often Eagles flying over head. The Ninilchik and surrounding Kenai Peninsula area provides World Class Fishing for Salmon, Halibut and Rainbow Trout. You can fish the banks of nearby Ninilchik, Deep Creek and Anchor Rivers, ocean charter for Halibut locally, or take a guided fishing tour-just 30-40 miles N. on the Famous Kenai, Kasiloff or Russian Rivers.
The drive from Anchorage is 180 miles and is filled with scenes of Mountains, Glaciers, Rivers, and possibly wildlife such as moose, bear, sheep, and eagles. If you choose to fly from Anchorage to the cities of Kenai or Homer, the house is approximately 45 min from either airport.
