House is a bit too close to the freeway so the master can be noisy. The driveway wasn't plowed and there's only one snow shovel in the house. Otherwise, the kitchen was reasonably stocked and the upstairs was pretty warm.
I'm sorry about the drive way. It's a shame that clouded your whole view of the cabin. I love staying at it.
Lovely, well equipped cabin in a convenient location
This cabin is very clean and comfortable. It is super conveniently located very close to Safeway, Rite Aid and downtown Truckee as well as an easy drive to a lot of great ski resorts and Lake Tahoe. The only downside is that it is a little close to Hwy 80 and therefore you get a good bit of road noise in all the bedrooms. I had earplugs in and could still hear the road noise fairly well. In the winter it isn’t awful but if you were there in the summer and trying to sleep with windows open, it may be a little bothersome.
Aside from that it’s a great property at a very good price!
It was a nice and cozy cabin!
Great hostess. Lots of towels and blankets available. Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay.
very good house，spacious yet cozy！
pretty good experience！
Roomy and spacious
House was large with plenty of amenities. We were there in July and temps were 90's but cooled down at night..could have used some floor fans to circulate air.. other than that the freeway noise wasn't bad unless you are overly sensitive. Overall nice house and nice experience.
I'm very particular where I book my stay and this place was great!
Great location, conveniently near Donner Lake, Safeway, Starbucks and restaurants. Easy access to the freeway too. The home had all the amenities we needed, so loved it! :-)
When you drive to North Tahoe from the bay area this cabin is exactly where you feel like stopping. It's also in the perfect location to stop after skiing to take a shower, change clothes, have dinner and then drive back. It's at the intersection of interstate 80 and highway 89 with a short walk to Safeway and Starbucks. The hospital is also just down the street, which could come in handy. The cabin is on a level lot and is easy to find even in the dark. The attached 2 car garage has an entrance into the cabin. You can park in the garage and unload and load the vehicle with ease. There are also Snowboard and ski racks in the garage for stowing your gear. Other Activities: kayaking, parasailing, wildlife viewing, snowmobiling, cross counrty skiing, snowboarding
