Cobwebs in every corner of the downstairs.
We checked in and we were dissapointed. We contacted the resort. They asked me to file a report. I did that immediately. They told me to stay put and the manager would contact me. That was the first day. I never heard back from the resort. I stopped by the main desk the next day and the last day. I rolled with it.
After I checked in and visited the desk, I then sat in the lone beach chair on the back porch and it broke. I did the right thing, I went by Walmart and I replaced it. The front door had tape covering a half dozens splits in the wood. The grout and mold in the master bath was disgusting. The kitchen was dirty, the condo was moldy. My wife states that the filthy AC got her sick.
You can see the resort fixing the exterior daily. The renovations to the hurricane damaged exterior are forthcoming. I can not say that about this private residence. The inside has a bandaid with a new fridge, stove, dishwasher. I hope that the total condo is renovated before another family's dreams are tarnished. We work hard for our money and the resort listened to our complaints, hours after we checked in, and they shrugged their shoulders. The good news is the beach, the pools, and the people are great. The bad news is this condo is rented for the rest of the summer. That is truly sad.
Tennis, golf, pools are all awesome. The resort has boat rentals. I though how hard could this be? I can fix up the fact that I rented a dump. (With my family) So I splurged and took my family on a boat. Never driven a boat, and I explained that...don't worry they said. I got a 1 minute explanation and a crude map to an unmarked beach. Well if you park it at the desired location by the map coordinates...and don't be wrong by 20 feet. Tides changed, no signs on the beach, just a highlighted crude map. The boat beached. I called the resort. An hour later the Cabana boys showed up drinking Corona with a gleam in their eyes. I was offered a 500 dollars charge on the credit card or I could pay the cabana boys-boat pirates ( the resort dock employees) 300 dollars cash. I paid the pirates all of my the cash. Three debits of 106 dollars a peice at the only debit machine me in golf cart distance. Only two other boats beached that day. Cha-Ching Cha-Ching. It is nice to be home, I was fleeced and ignored. Arrghh.
