Welcome to South Seas East Condominiums! Experience the beautiful beaches on Marco Island’s west coast. Unique to this gated community is open green space with landscaped grounds that are impeccably maintained. Beauty surrounds your every view.

Accommodations

This is a privately owned condo that has been recently remodeled and furnished. Clean, spacious and smartly decorated in a tropical Florida decor. Almost everything in it is new! It accommodates 4 guests comfortably. The master bedroom features a queen size, pillow top bed, new linens and pillows galore. The master bath has a walk-in shower. The guest bedroom has 2 twins that can be joined together to form a king-size bed. Linens are provided for both. The guest bath is also newly rennovated.

The living room sports a 42” Plasma TV , a queen sleeper sofa and oversized chairs for comfort. Sliding glass doors open to a screened lanai from the living room and master bedroom that overlooks Clam Bay and the pool.

The condo has a classy dining area. Feeling more casual? Enjoy the screened lanai and beautiful view. The complex also has a large outdoor Chickee Hut. This structure provides a waterfront facilty for outdoor dining and grilling.

Activities

You and your guests can hop aboard your boat, docked outside your condo, or stroll across the complex to access the beach. No need to drive to water! Boat and dock rentals are available for an extra fee. Your condo is equipped with beach chairs, coolers, and towels.

You and your guests have easy access to the heated pools. Both pools have restrooms and allow you to bring your beverage of choice.

Tennis any one? South Seas East offers tennis memberships or hourly fees for those of you that wish to play a game or two. Restaurants and other attractions are within walking distance.

Wonderful Rental - But not especially best for families/children

This was our second year at Marco Island in the same condo as 2013. It should be noted that South Seas is a great location, secure, quiet, has good amenities (several warm swimming pools, tennis courts, chickee huts, abundance of outdoor grills, etc.), and is very well maintained. The majority of renters/owners are seniors (65+) and very friendly whether you are a first-time renter or repeat at the property.

That said, we did not see many families with children during our stay. If you are looking for a place where your kids can play and interact with others their age you may want to consider another property. The association rules also prohibit loud parties and impromptu games on the grounds.

Marco Island is a great destination away from the cold. There are approx. 100 restaurants on the island, numerous stores (grocery, specialty shops, bookstores, theater, etc.), and the Wednesday Farmers Market on the island is a must-do for fresh seafood, citrus, crafts). You are less than 1 hour from Naples, Ft. Meyers, Cape Coral and other towns/cities with wonderful shopping.

This unit is located on the 4th floor of a mid-rise (6 floor) building with 2 elevators in the building. It is tastefully decorated and very convenient to the swimming pools, tennis courts and across the street from the beach (a five-minute walk from condo to the sand). The South Seas property (beach towers, mid-rise buildings and garden units) is a gated 55 acre complex built in the 70's-80's and is located at the southern tip of Tigertail beach. Access to the beach is via a private locked gate (for South Seas residents only) and the sand is approx. 200-300 yards deep before reaching the water.

Our rental had some minor problems (WI-FI internet access which was resolved by the owners in several days), a ceiling fan that didn't work, and vertical blinds on the windows that were damaged/broken. While the unit was clean, some areas (ceiling fans and baseboards) were dusty. We emailed the owners with these observations and they were very gracious and thanked us for our feedback.

We are very satisfied with this condo and enjoyed the warm, relaxing time we spent on Marco Island. We have contacted the owners and reserved this same unit for January 2015.

A very clean, well decorated condo with friendly and responsive owner

Our stay at this condo was nothing short of fantastic! The property was just as described, accurate according to the photos on the website, clean and very tastefully decorated. The unit was equipped with all the necessities and extras we could ask for (kitchen appliances, beach chairs and towels, ice coolers, etc.). Upon arrival, several small problems (WIFI internet access, damaged kitchen faucet) were quickly resolved by the owner who was very approachable and communicative. Accomodations for my electric mobility scooter storage and battery charging were quickly worked out with the cooperative property management. Close proximity to two swimming pools and less than 5 minute walk to the beach from the property were definite positives, along with the in-unit washer and dryer. We were impressed by the friendliness of other renters and permenant residents and the 24 hour security and gated access give us peace of mind during our stay. We were also amazed by the quietness of the building and surrounding property. The South Seas property is conveniently located on the island with restaurants and shopping within walking distance. A must do is the farmers market every Wednesday morning on the island. Other shopping in Naples, Bonita Springs (Miromar Outlets, Coconut Point Mall, etc.) are within 30-45 minute drive of the island. All in all a wonderful experience and we're planning to return in January 2014.
