Located on prestigious 18 Baynard Cove in the world-famous Sea Pines Resort, you get easy access to everything Sea Pines has to offer. It’s only a short five-minute walk to a wide, private and uncrowded Atlantic Ocean beach, an eight-minute bike ride to South Beach Marina, and a four-minute drive to legendary Harbour Town.

Did you ever rent a home and wonder, “This could really be a great place if the owners would make just a few changes or thought more about what their guests really need?' We wondered that, too. Well, look no further. We’re the owners who actually DID all those little things that make your vacation so much more enjoyable.
Our attention to detail makes our home different from so many others. It’s the little things like extra silverware and plates, tons of utensils and cups, extra pots and pans, new electronics (TVs and DVD players in EVERY room), surround sound speakers for late-night movies, new furniture, motion-sensing outdoor lights, lighted pool, clean air vents (not those dusty lint traps!), extra-large capacity washer and dryer (both less than 4 years old), creative art work and ceiling fans in all rooms, and luggage racks in all bedrooms. We even labeled every light switch so you don't spend half of your vacation trying to figure out how to turn on the outside flood lights. These are just some of the little things that make your vacation that much better but have a hard time finding!
Our secluded setting on a quiet street gives you privacy you won’t find in a condo or villa. Get the beach access you want without the beach home prices! And we're just 1.5 miles from South Beach Marina, Harbour Town, and the Plantation Club.
Our single-level home (no stairs!) features a large kidney-shaped pool with a generous shallow end for kids. For an additional charge the pool can be heated for year-round use. Five lounges surround the pool for tanning and relaxing. Six additional chairs and a large table sit on a Trex deck that has a distinctive palmetto tree growing through it. There is also a brand-new large Weber gas grill (bought in February 2016) by the pool and plenty of grilling utensils in the kitchen.
Our smoke-free home has a very open floor plan with high ceilings and bright, large rooms. All rooms have ceramic tile floors and remote-control ceiling fans. The great room has a large sectional sofa, leather chair, and ottoman. It has a wet bar and a terrific view of the pool. It also has an entertainment center with a 46" LCD widescreen TV, DVD/CD player, VCR, cable TV, surround sound Bose speakers, and an assortment of recent videos and DVDs. We even have an iPod cable attached to our stereo system so you can listen to your music on our indoor or poolside speakers.
The den has a queen-size sleeper sofa, love seat, desk, 43" LCD TV, DVD player, and a variety of board and card games. Free wireless Internet access is also available.
As of February 2016 all bedrooms have brand new pillows, mattress pads, comforters, and coverlets.
The spacious master bedroom suite has a king-size bed, 37" LCD TV, DVD player, two large closets, and a large bathroom that was completely remodeled in January, 2011 with 2 sinks and a huge walk-in shower with a rainhead. A second very large bedroom contains two queen-size beds, 37" LCD TV, DVD player, large dresser, generous closet, and a private bathroom. The third bedroom also has two queen-size beds, a wall-mounted 24" TV/DVD combo, large designer closet, and a big bathroom that is also accessible from a hallway. All bedrooms have digital clocks, creative art work, luggage racks, and plenty of space to spread out.
The kitchen features a six-chair circular table on one end of the room and a three-stool breakfast bar on the other end that borders the great room. There is also a dining room with 6 chairs and a glass table. Plenty of plates, glasses, utensils, cookware, and ovenware are provided. It also includes a microwave, washer/dryer, coffee maker, electric can opener, refrigerator with water/ice dispenser, dishwasher, and a blender for making those tasty frozen drinks.
Our open floor plan, multiple eating areas, oversized rooms, and large pool make this an ideal home for more than one family to share without feeling the least bit crowded!

Payments for most reservations in 2017 are made directly to the homeowners. A 50% refundable deposit (if cancelled more than 30 days in advance) confirms a reservation. Final payment is due 30 days before check-in. For some reservations, the homeowner will contact the Sea Pines Resort and the resort will contact the guest to collect a 30% deposit with the remaining payment due at check-in.

About: Our first visit to Hilton Head Island was in 1997 and we knew right away it would become our family's favorite place to go! We went back to the island every year and along the way we kept a list of everything we wanted (and did not want) in a home if we ever had the chance to purchase one. Traveling with little kids and older kids, we figured out exactly what works and doesn't work for a family vacation and we made it our mission to find a home of our own on the island that our family and guests could enjoy for years to come. After weeks of searching, this home fell into our laps and had everything we wanted! Jim grew up in Ohio and went to high school and college in the Buffalo and Rochester areas in New York. Karen was born and raised in southern Minnesota. We have been married for 24 years and live just outside of Minneapolis (which is another reason why we like to go to the warm island as often as we can).
Why Heritage Woods, Hilton Head Island, SC, USA:
We loved the location, layout, and amenities of the home the first time we saw it! For starters, it is in the world-famous and award-winning Sea Pines Resort which pretty much speaks for itself. We are right in the middle of every major attraction in the resort (Harbour Town Marina, South Beach, Plantation Club, all 3 golf courses) and we are just a 5-minute walk to the beach. And bike paths that cross all over the island are right near our home. The home is on one level (no stairs) with tile floors in all rooms. No carpet to get wet or sandy after days on the beach or in the pool! All the rooms are very large and flow together very well. We have 2 air conditioners and 2 large hot water heaters so no matter where you are in our home, you are comfortable. We're also in a quiet neighborhood on one of most prestigious roads in the resort due to its location on the east side of Baynard Cove. Most of the homes on our road are private residences (not rentals) so there is very little traffic and it is very quiet and relaxing! We have had groups of many sizes (from 2 to 12) and we've even had a wedding performed in our living room and another couple get engaged at our home! We have also had many repeat guests over the years which is the best evidence you can get that our home meets or exceeds their needs!

We can be pretty picky and so we took great care to ensure everything in our home is geared towards comfort, cleanliness, usefulness, and creativity.
