An ideal beach house and perfect way to experience life in Southern California! Steps from the ocean (about 80 to be exact), you’ll enjoy staying at a gorgeous Craftsman home that was built in 1913 and recently remodeled with new floors and appliances. Spacious and sophisticated, this space is a 2-bedroom/1-bathroom ground level unit located on a quiet walk street just off Washington Blvd, an exciting area with lots of fun, local shops and restaurants. A walker’s paradise, you’ll be immersed in a real neighborhood of friendly beach lovers and steps away from famous and fun attractions.

The space is the ground level of a multi-unit property, with two apartments on top that have long-term tenants. You will have full and private access to the entire bottom unit, as well as private access to the large and sunny fenced garden area that includes a fountain, outdoor seating, and a grill. It’s a great spot for a BBQ, to enjoy the sun, read a book, relax, and even get work done if needed.

The house itself has a big and bright sun room as soon as you enter that’s great for reading and relaxing, with plenty of seating. There’s also a twin-size bed set up on the east side of the sun room that’s perfect for sleeping a single adult or children.

Our large living room is stylishly decorated with a mix of international and local flair. It has chairs for adults and children, a doggie bed, and a luxurious l-shaped couch great for lounging and that can also double as a bed. A large-flat screen TV is mounted on the wall and is connected to Direct TV, with over 150 channels including HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax.

Just off of the living room is a grand and ornate dining area, which gets plenty of sun during the day. We have a large dining table that can set up to 8 and a wooden china cabinet that can serve as a buffet station if needed. We also have a breakfast nook area just before the kitchen with a small table and comfortable seating for 5-6 people.

The kitchen is a chef’s dream, large and spacious and fully loaded with all the cookware you’d need to make a meal. We have a good supply of pots, pans, bakeware, serving dishes, and utensils. Plates, cutlery, water glasses, wine and champagne glasses, and even martini glasses are included. There’s a dishwasher, stove, island with built-in counter top range, microwave, and large refrigerator/freezer. We have a juicer, food processor, tea pots, coffee maker, and toaster, too. There’s also a large pantry and plenty of cabinet space for storing food.

The master bedroom, just off the living room, has a cozy and comfy queen size bed and a large flat-screen TV that’s connected to Direct TV that sits on top of a large dresser. There’s also a desk that’s a great workspace. There’s a large walk-in closet with hangers, too. Plenty of natural light but also shades that draw down to keep the room dark.

The guest bedroom, located toward the back of the house, also has a queen bed and a small dresser. It also has a walk-in closet.

The bathroom is located in the hallway between the two bedrooms and was recently remodeled to include a posh and stylish glass shower. We have plenty of towels and wash cloths and also provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

This unit DOES NOT have central air conditioning and heat. Strong wifi is connected throughout the house and in the garden area.

We offer FREE on site outdoor parking for one car. Guests will be sent parking instructions upon booking.

Washer and dryer available on site to do laundry and usage is include in your stay.

It's perfect for families and business travelers. We can accommodate up to 6 people.

This house is situated in one of the most unique and walkable areas in Los Angeles! You will enjoy bicycle and walking paths along the oceanfront with the best people-watching in the area. Stay active with the world-famous Muscle Beach, beach volleyball courts, and surfing in your own backyard. Within walking distance are health spas and yoga studios. Dine at one of the many restaurants just around the corner on Washington Blvd. or enjoy the sunset at one of the rooftop bars.

You can even walk to the fabulous Abbott Kinney—recently declared the coolest block in America by GQ magazine. You can walk to the many beautiful boats in the marina, and you can also walk to the Venice Boardwalk—a fun and eclectic slice of local art and culture! Santa Monica is also very close and it’s about a 30-40 minute ocean-side walk to the famous Santa Monica Pier.

But best of all, after all that walking and beach fun, you will come home to a comfy space with all the amenities of home! If for some reason you have a bit of work to do—there is a well lit desk with plenty of space for a laptop and printer in the master bedroom, as well as table space in the breakfast nook.

The location is within a 15-minute drive from LAX and costs around $24 plus tip via Taix and often less with Uber/LYFT. You can also use Prime Time Shuttle for a shared ride.

Dogs considered for an additional fee of $100; generally we do not allow cats.

Enjoy staying at a gorgeous Craftsman home 200 ft from the beach in a sunny & spacious 2-bedroom/1-bathroom. This ground-level unit has a private garden great for outdoor dining & soaking up sun—& you can hear the ocean! Just off Washington on a quiet walk street, you’ll be 80 steps to sand & a min. walk to local restaurants/bars/coffee. 1 block to Venice Canals & 5 mins on foot 2 the boardwalk. Walkable area & PARKING INCLUDED! Idea for family vacations, weekend getaways, or business travel.

What makes this house unique

Besides the great southern Califonia weather, this home is located in one of the funnest most alive city's. The world famous board walk is a 5 minute walk. The Venice pier is a one minute walk along with great restaurants and shops. You can rent bikes and aditional surf boards for a small day fee too.Everything you need is walking distance. Hollywood is a 30 minute drive, that is if your not stuck in LA traffic:)

Romantic getaway

I recently stayed at this property for a weekend getaway with my fiancé and had an amazing stay! Everything was clean & well maintained and we had all of the amenities we could have possibly needed. The location was fantastic and although it was around the corner to all of the restaurants, we did eat most of our meals at Mercedes Grille because it was so delicious and we even had them deliver to us one afternoon, like room service. The kitchen is fully equipped so we could have cooked if we wanted to. The photos look just like the property and their were no surprises. We rode bikes on the boardwalk and walked to the beach and really didn't have one bad thing to say about our stay. We would definitely stay again!
