Just south of Seal Rock on the rugged Oregon Coast is this vacation rental refuge with room for six, located in a secluded neighborhood on more than an acre of land. With private beach access and all the amenities of home, you can explore the rugged and beautiful Seal Rock area in security and comfort. Not only will you enjoy panoramic views from both inside and out of the deck, you'll enjoy all the amenities of home, like WiFi, cable TV, and DVD/CD players.
Have a seat in one of the comfy chairs next to the resident sea bird, the sand dollars, buoys, and marine paraphernalia. Spy a ship out on the water through the telescope, or just absorb the sight of the majestic Pacific through the big picture windows. The living area is cozy and spacious, with hardwood floors and a plush, wrap-around couch, perfect for stretching out and relaxing after a day exploring the beach. Thaw out in front of a crackling, wood fire as you listen to a CD and catch up on your reading. Or, get online, if you need to, to check events or email with the free WiFi. After dinner, head over to the den where you can watch cable or a DVD (large selection available)on the flat-screen TV.
Unless you feel like driving, stock up for meals. It's about five minutes south to Waldport and seven minutes up north to Newport. There are lots of eateries in those places. Seal Rock has a 50s-themed diner called, appropriately, Diner at Seal Rock. But why drive when you have a modern, fully stocked kitchen at your disposal? You'll have everything you'll need: stove, microwave, a nice big refrigerator, lots of cabinets and counter space and a dishwasher. On nice days, get those charcoals glowing in the grill out on the deck and have a barbecue.
With two bedrooms and a loft, this luxurious and roomy vacation rental home will sleep six comfortably. The master bedroom has a king bed and an adjoining full bath. In the second bedroom, you'll find two twin beds. Those extra people can bed in the den where there's a queen futon and a twin bed - though note that there is no door. An extra full bathroom cuts down on waiting time. Beachcliff also has a washer and dryer.
Though Seal Rock - both the rock formation and the town named for it - are about a mile up the road, the beautiful beach awaits you right outside your door! Just take the private steps (quite steep and difficult for the mobility challenged) that lead to the path. Seal Rock Wayside Park is a few minutes north. There, you can see seals, sea lions, sea birds, and other marine critters cavort on the rocks. Take a picnic lunch and explore the tide pools, or savor the wonderful ocean view and a pristine landscape filled with shore pines, spruce, and salal. (Take the binoculars: you could spot some whales!)
If you're a boat owner, Ona Beach is a great place to launch and maybe do some fishing or just float around. For those interested in the area's history, Alsea Bay Bridge Historic Interpretive Center in Waldport will fill you in on Oregon Coast history and ecology, with guided tours and an interpretive nature center. And if you're looking for a piece of art to remember your trip, Seal Rock is home to a thriving artist community where you can get that perfect piece of blown glass or woodwork.
Come experience the rugged beauty, wildlife, and activities you'll find in the Seal Rock area from the comfort and security of this lovely, spacious vacation rental home with private beach access!
