Hi, My name is LeeAnn Cockerill Doppel. I'd like to invite you st stay in my 2 bedroom Vacation Rental in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. (Sleeps 4)
Hacienda Los Cabos is a secure guarded gated community on the hill above the Sea of Cortez and the Fonatur Golf Course in an Oasis type setting. Views of the estuary, Sea of Cortez and bay of San Jose, the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, and the town of San Jose and its beach are phenomenal!
24 hour security and individual assigned parking. Perfectly located and is only a short 10 minute walk to Walmart or the Mega Store or downhill to the San Jose del Cabos shops and restaurants, beach and golf courses. A bus can be taken to Cabo San Lucas, or other stops along the Corridor. It is about a 10 minute walk to the bus stop. The transit ride by bus to Cabo is about thirty minutes. The bus frequency is every twenty minutes or so, until ten p.m.
Inside you will find a fully furnished 2nd floor condo w/ 2 BR (queen size bed in one, 2 twin beds in the other, 2 full baths. Living/dining area, full kitchen w microwave, coffee machine, washer/dryer in unit. Linens and dishes provided. Ceiling fans, 3 A/Cs, 1 Satellite TV on flat screen in living room, Ruko, 2 DVD players and VHS, 1 flat screen tv in bedroom with dvd. WiFi Internet. Electric BBQ. 1 parking spot. Utilities, reasonable, included in short term rentals.
SALE: High Season: April 1, 2018 - April 15 2018- $100/night or $500/week or $750/2 weeks or $1000/month.
Low Season: Apr 16, 2018 - Dec 15, 2018- $100/night or $500/week or $750/2 weeks, $1000/month
High Season: Dec 16 2017-April 15 2019- $125/night or $800/week or $1600/month.
Low Season April 16, 2019 - Dec 15, 2019 $100/night or $500/week or $1000/month.
Minimum stay 3 nights. Utilities included in short term rentals up to $100.
$300 refundable security deposit.
$75 cleaning fee.
1 assigned parking spot close to door.

Little Bit of Heaven
We throughly enjoyed our stay at this tastefully decorated property. It was clean, well equipped and maintained. The sea view from the extra large master bedroom window was appreciated as well as the use of the large assortment of books, telephone, new TV and entertainment box.
We particularly took pleasure in the tranquility during the day and evening around the beautifully landscaped pool area.
The central location is perfect as you can access the historical town, the sea or Walmart in 15 minutes depending on the direction you take. No car needed.
Gerardo, the property manager, was always accessible by telephone and promptly took care of any problems. Thanks LeeAnn for sharing your condo.
Second Year Renting
My husband and I arrived three days ago and we are already booking again for next year. We have travelled extensively all over the world and have stayed in both five stars and three stars. I have also discovered in my travels that there are always people who complain and probably would complain even if they were staying in Buckingham Palace.
Sea Wolf, I can understand that you may have been very unhappy about the sand blasting ... that would be very annoying but ... Hey ... San Jose del Cabo is a wonderful little town and the surrounding beaches are wonderful and very easily accessible by bus. As far as the owner goes ... We have found her to be very accommodating and the gentleman who looks after her condo is extremely helpful ... I have called him on a few occasions and he got immediately back to me (less than an hour). Sea Wolf ... If you arrive at a spot two days early ... Really!!! ... Give me a break ... Have you ever arrived at a hotel early in he morning and have had to wait until 3:00 to get into your room because the place needed to be cleaned. You cannot honestly complain about the condition of the condo if you are two days early!!! Furthermore, what kind of tenant leaves dirty dishes in the sink when they leave???? We arrived on time on Monday and the condo was in excellent condition. The sectional had been freshly cleaned and the cleaners had even left roses made of toilet paper in the bathrooms. Sea Wolf ... Is it fair to complain about the furniture ... Surely you saw the pictures on the VRBO site ... if you didn't like what you saw ... Why rent??? My husband and I are very happy with this condo and we like the way we have been treated by the owner and what difference does it make if she hasn't been here for three years ... she has a very capable young man looking after the place!!! Enough said .... We are very happy!!! I would highly recommend renting!!!
Avoid at all cost
Very disappointed in condo and owner. We rented it for 5 weeks and arrived 2 days early. The owner said it would be ready. We get there and the place was filthy, very filthy. Last tenant left 2 weeks prior and it was never cleaned. Dirty food and dishes in sink, fridge had rotten food in it, dirty linens, someone's old underwear and food stuffed in couch. Called owner and she said they would address. We spent 2 hours cleaning and next day they sent in house cleaner. She didn't do much as she actually put dirty dishes into cabinets. Wifi only worked in living room and was usable about 30% of the time. 2nd day wife gets bite a bunch while sleeping on her legs. We go to the clinic we are members of and they say bed bugs. We call owner and she wants pics , we send pics of wife's 20 plus bites and she schedules inspection. We are out of condo for 4 hours while they are fixing problem. She calls later and says there was no bugs according to report, however no more bites after that night. Death in family causes us to leave 3 weeks prior to end of paid period. I call to let her know and I didn't ask for any refund as I wasnt entitled to one. 5 weeks go by and no deposit refund so I call. She says since her bed bug report showed nothing she is keeping deposit. Claims they charged her over three hundred to inspect and treat. This is Mexico and that is 5x what it cost. Just so you know no money or effort has gone back into this unit. Blinds are broken, linens are cheap, furniture is less nice than garage sale items. She made a big deal about the first two days there that she didn't charge us for but forgets her text to me saying no charge since we paid cleaning fee and it was filthy. They were also power stripping building for painting so we had to listen to the sprayers motors all day long for 4-5 days straight plus clean up as the water and paint came through window frames and under door. The pool and staff at gate were nice, other than that this place blew. Btw owner told me she hasn't visited this property in over 3 years, I am sure she will spin in her response but facts are facts.
Bogus! I saw but ignored warning signs/regret renting to this man. I offer several ways to pay rent/deposit. He choose paypal and my agreement requires you add in the 4% surcharge. He circumvented fee by telling paypal money was gift. He emailed me stating this to avoid surcharge. A true “cheat the system” type guy. Arrives 2 days early and wants in! My local manager was unavailable to verify. I told him it may or may not be vacant or clean. I should have said NO! When he went in, it was not clean. Left messages for manager but no reception where he was camping/hiking as this renter was not expected for 2 more days. Renter says not too dirty and they would clean. He told me they had brought their bedding from home and had used it since leaving home at other places. He agreed to pay my manager in person for the extra 2 days but didn’t. I was on the phone with him when my manager, who finally got the messages, arrived at the door the 1st night. The maid cleaned the 1st night also for a higher cost. On Oct 23rd, 10 full days later he tells me his wife has several bites on foot and Dr said they were “not mosquitoes.” He diagnosed bed bugs. After researching internet I asked for photos of foot/mattress cording areas. He sent me only 2 photos of issue. One of wife's foot showing 4 or 5 bites. Another of mattress showing ONE dot. Also several photos of power washing maintenance in common areas. Since the majority of the photos were power washing I’m assuming this is what he was mostly unhappy about. I realize that could be noisy/messy, unfortunately, it’s out of my control. I sent maid over another time to clean up mess it made. We were constantly very attentive to this renter but to no avail. He nagged on about alleged bed bug problem so I purchased a comprehensive package that included pre inspection, treatment, post inspection of bedbugs which cost 4500 pesos. My manager also had to be present while the inspection /treatment occurred for several hours. Renter did not see the bill. The company I hired is OClean Santitizing. Renter cost me a needless late night cleaning fee when he arrived 2 days early and a needless bedbug treatment charge and a 4 hour fee for manager to stick around during treatment. Please read other reviews.
Hacienda Los Cabos
We loved our stay here … so much so that we are returning for a couple of months next year. We met some pretty wonderful people. The property was extremely well looked after, the grounds very well kept and the pool was very clean. The condo was comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. San Jose del Cabo is a wonderful little Mexican town with great shopping, great people and awesome restaurants. The caretaker was very helpful and accommodating.
I'm glad you liked it and are coming back. Lifetime friends are made there sometimes! Thanks for the review!

Rates are for 4 people. Holidays and Extra people may be more. Standard Rates posted are for Low Season April 16 - Dec 14, 2015. Make offer for stays longer then one week. Low Season April 16 - Dec 14 $1100/month. High Season Dec 16 - April 15 $1600/month. (approx start and end of season may vary per year) If you use a card to pay VRBO you must add the 3-4% they charge me to get the payment.
