Located in the center of island this beachfront home is within walking distance of everything - shops, markets, restaurants and the newly erected lighthouse. With its high elevation this house sits above all those around it providing spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico and the pristine beaches up and down the island. There is always a wonderful breeze on the wrap-around porches and in the cooking area beneath the house. Walk down the private boardwalk just steps from the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the panoramic views from the widow's walk atop this home. The sunrises and sunsets are absolutely spectacular. The interior of Salty Dawg features a simple, open floor plan. There are four bedrooms located on each corner of the home. The living area is all open housing the kitchen, dining area and living room area with fabulous views of the Gulf. This four bedroom/ four bathroom home has one king master suite, two queen master suites and one bedroom with twin beds. Everyone enjoys grilling out in the cooking area beneath the house. Enjoy the park style bench and beautiful shrubbery while watching the dolphins play in the surf. This custom built home was built in 1999. It is professionally decorated and continually updated to make you feel like it's your own beach house. Salty Dawg consistently receives four and five star reviews from previous guests. Our large number of repeat guests demonstrates the tremendous vacation experience enjoyed by our guests. You will love the 'Salty Dawg'. (You don't have to be a Georgia Dawg to enjoy it...but it helps. Tigers, War Eagles, Gators, Vols, Seminoles, Ramblin Wrecks and many others from across the country have enjoyed their vacations at Salty Dawg.) One pet under 25 lbs is welcome.

Depending upon the size of your group, usage, and the length of your stay, you may need to supplement some of these items throughout the course of your stay. Why the Owner Chose Gulf Beaches, Eastpoint, Florida, United States of America:
We have been coming to St. George Island since we were in college - for the past 40 years. We used to bring our children to St. George when they were just toddlers. They are grown now and have children of their own..and we still love St. George's family friendly atmosphere as much as ever. In 1999 Salty Dawg was custom built by Gary Ulrich, a premier builder on the Gulf coast. We chose this location because of its close proximity to everything on the island. It had one of the highest elevations available. We knew that this location would allow for great views and easy access to the pristine, sandy beaches of the Gulf. We have been enjoying it immensely. We hope you will enjoy it just as much as we do.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Walking to the nearby oyster bar in the evening for a dozen raw or steamed oysters can't be beat. Walking down the beach at sunrise is exhilarating. Playing with the kids in the surf or sunbathing on the beach is what its all about. We enjoying watching the unbelievable sunrises and sunsets from the widow's walk. As darkness falls, you are treated to a magnificient display of starry constellations without the distraction of bright city lights. Many nights you can see the deck lights from local shrimp boats on the horizon.
