Why susan mayer hirsch chose Santa Rosa

We love being in Sonoma. It is a beautiful place, where we can be with friends and family, and enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking, hanging out in the pool and being together. we have bocce contests, ping pong tournaments and scrabble tournaments, enjoying the house all seasons.

What makes this house unique

While only 10 minutes away from the lovely small village of Glen Ellen, when you open the door to the deck, you will feel a million miles away from all the responsibilities of your daily living. Start the day, drinking a delicious cup of coffee, watching the sun rise over the sonoma valley and in the evening gaze at the millions of stars overhead. There is lots to do: hike in Jack London State Park, go to the fabulous farmers markets, enjoy the local wineries.......or stay at the house and relax by the pool. if you like to bike, plenty of hills to give you a terrific workout, and spectacular views, all just out the front door.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Susan's home is absolutely lovely. The views are amazing and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was fun as were all the amenities--there were more than we could take advantage of! The kitchen was phenomenal--everything we needed (and more) to cook our meals was provided. The distance to Glen Ellen was an easy drive (we enjoyed several wineries in Glen Ellen and Sonoma). I highly recommend this home--and we'd definitely stay there again!

The house was clean, well maintained, nicely furnished and filled with everything needed.

  • 5 of 5

My family of 7 stayed over the Memorial Day weekend and everyone was very comfortable and pleasantly surprised with this home.

The property is located North of Glen Ellen, easily accessible to numerous wineries, tasting rooms and restaurants. It has four bedrooms and a sofa sleeper, four bathrooms with showers, some with tubs, and comfortable open main floor space that leads to a wonderful deck with a great view of the valley. The owner is genuinely interested in providing a first class experience, which we had. And promptly replied to all my questions.

With the pool, hot tub and available BBQ on the deck, it felt like home. There is a modern kitchen and it is fully stocked with dishes, pots, utensils etc...

I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, well maintained home, that is centrally located for visiting Sonoma, with day trips to Santa Rosa and Napa within easy reach. As noted by the owner, The Glen Ellen Village Market is the place to shop for meals and other necessities during a stay.

Thanks to the owners for sharing this unique property.

We would return without hesitation.

Fantastic Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This was a truly lovely place for a family gathering. The house is larger and nicer than it appears in the pictures. We absolutely loved the extra warm saline pool, the incredible view of the Valley and the deck over looking it all. Thanks for providing the setting for a great cousin's reunion.

Amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this gorgeous house for the weekend with three other couples and we had a truly amazing time. The owners put so much thought into making the house comfortable- from the wonderful chef's kitchen to the endless activities (whirlpool, ping pong table, foosball, board games!) that we ended up spending more time at the house then in wine country! The views from this amazing house are truly breathtaking and made for beautiful sunsets to go with our outdoor meals. We will definitely come back any chance we get!

The house is located just minutes away from the small village of Glen Ellen(with lots of restaurants and a great market). Favorites? Glen Ellen Star, and The Girl and the Fig . Fabulous wineries are nearby ( we love Benzinger), as well as the beautiful Jack London Park, with lots of trails to hike or ride horses. Beautiful hiking trails are close by in Sugar Loaf Ridge Park. Twenty minutes away? the lovely town of Sonoma.

Sonoma has a terrific farmers market , stores, restaurants and a beautiful town square.
