Wonderful home for a family reunion

Our multi-generational family of 9 enjoyed this home for 4 days and 5 nights. We especially enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the boogie boards in the garage were a hit along with the ping pong table. The evenings were cold so not much time was spent on the roof deck but would be great in warm weather The kitchen was well equipped, but it would have been a plus to have a crock pot. All in all a great vacation

Nice location, shame about the fog! Wonderful town, extreamly friendly people.lovely restaurants catering for gluten free, vegan etc. easy access to lovely beaches from which you can even see whales.

Wonderful home

My daughter and her family and I rented the house at 169 Kodiak in Morro Bay for 7 nights. What a perfect place for 3 adults and 4 children! The house was lovely and well maintained, and with 2 living areas (with tvs) and ping pong and foosball tables in the garage, there were plenty of areas to spread out. The roof top deck was a bonus. Being only 5 houses from the beach allowed beach walks whenever we wanted. We would definitely rent this house again.

Perfect for our group.

We had an excellent experience. The house was clean and the beds were wonderful. Everyone in our group commented about the beds! The kitchen is equipped with everything one needs to cook. Our family enjoyed spending time in the family room and we could spill into the living room as needed.

Our favorite part of the place was the rooftop deck. The owner provides an umbrella that can be carried to the deck and put up if needed. There are two tables, two lounge chairs and plenty of chairs. The view is outstanding. We used the deck for afternoon reading, evening drinks before dinner, late night port and breakfast the next morning.

We were surprised when our rental request ended up with a rental company. We prefer to deal directly with the owner-that's why we use VRBO. However, the company was great to deal with. Our emails were often answered within 20 minutes-a couple of them were sent late in the evening and 20 minutes later we received the answer to our question. We appreciated the fact the rental agreement was very specific on how renters are expected to behave when in the neighborhood. The neighbors were very nice and kindly reminded us that one of our vehicles needed to be moved off the street as that side is no parking (the street's narrow.) We were able to park one of our 3 vehicles in the garage so parking was plentiful for us. Several times as we left the house, the neighbors would wave and say hi. We felt like we lived there and appreciated that the rental company works to keep the integrity of the neighborhood intact.

All of us agree that the place was perfect. We agonized over the proximity to Hwy 1 but it could only be heard from the front bedroom. You hear the neighbor's fountain or the ocean waves from the other rooms. Everyone commented on how wonderful the beds were! The only 'complaint?' The sun shines brightly, very early in the front bedroom and it would be nice to have some blackout-type window coverings so that while on vacation one could sleep in late if our case....we had 3 little ones.....the sun shining in the room just helped us feel great...even in the early morning hours. We will consider this property again.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

We only had a weekend, but the accommodations were perfect. Our last minute request (24 hours notice) was processed with a very helpful and welcoming response. The house was clean, and beds comfortable. We were only 5 houses away from the beach, and a 20 minute beach walk to Morro Rock. There are several sitting areas, so groups could choose to play board games, or watch TV, or have some quiet reading. Table Tennis in the garage! A fabulous rooftop for sunbathing, or a romantic sunset... with a beach view. Working outdoor grill. Everything was just great! Wish we could have spent the week!
