About The Owner

We are an outdoor loving family of five. We enjoy many activities year round. We love to ski, bike, hike and exercise in the splendor of the beautiful Vail Valley.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2005

Why The Owner chose Vail

We chose to buy a vacation condo in this location because of the access to world class skiing and the tranquil setting of East Vail Community. This property offers access to many activities in all seasons.

What makes this condo unique

We enjoy the amenities of the Vail Racquet Club, the on site Blu's Restarant serving anything from bar food to fine dining with a wonderful wine list. We love the convenient bus shuttle to town and avoiding parking fees and hassles in Vail Village. The condo offers quick access to hiking and biking trails. It's also just a quick jump over the hill to the factory outlet stores in Silverthorne for shopping excursions. Summertime is wonderful with the pool, tennis, and outdoor BBQ and picnic areas. Vail offers summer concerts and farmers markets on Sundays. We love sledding nearby and love the sound of the creek all year round.

Comfortable and beautiful condo!

  • 5 of 5

This condo has everything we needed and was just a short walk from the shuttle to the Vail ski resort. The condo was well stocked and has clean sheets and towels readily available. A very cute and comfortable space!

Cozy Stay in East Vail

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this property Feb 21-25 with a family of 5 adults for a ski trip. This condo is located in East Vail at The Racquet Club complex approx. 6 miles east of Vail Village.

This unit is downstairs, a bonus for me. The interior is comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen has all the items needed to cook and serve. We appreciated the tile floors in kitchen and baths had radiant heat so your toes stay toasty even without socks on. The unit is close to two bus(no charge) stops, less than a 5 min walk, that run every 15 minutes into Vail Village...You don't want to pay $50/day to park! There was plenty of parking available close to our unit.

A drawback for us was no central heat. Electric radiant baseboard heat is what is used to warm the unit. You can't get the main room really warm, especially on a cold day. Temps during our 4 day stay were 21F for the high and around 5-8 at night. Coming from Florida this was pretty darn cold. You will need to dress warmly and/or build a fire. We did and it was fine. Sleeping at night was warm enough with the provided comforters and extra blankets.

I wouldn't recommend this condo for families with little kids as it isn't very large. If you are planning on lots of room to spread out this spot isn't for you. Relaxing on a comfy sofa and having a cocktail was our speed so it was great for us!

The complex pool/hot tub is located at the opposite end of the unit(#3) There is no direct/easy way to walk there. Granted it was very cold so we would have driven over. Unfortunately, the charge to use the amenities was expensive at $30/pp a day. This is why I would give 4.5 stars. We didn't try the restaurant.

We would stay here again as the price was reasonable compared to staying in Vail and the place was cozy and comfortable!

Clean, lovely, modern condo convenient to the shuttle to Vail

  • 4 of 5

The condo was just perfect for my adult daughter and me for our ski trip to Vail. It is clean, spacious enough for a family of four, and very comfortable. The East Vail shuttle stop is a five minute walk from the unit and Blu’s Restaurant in the Racquet Club building is good and convenient (the $30 charge to use the hot tub and other club facilities was too high for us). We had some trouble with the lock but the owner responded promptly. One suggestion: Please put a bottle of shower wash in the bathrooms. Travelers these days expect not to have to shop for soap.

Perfect Family Summer Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four, from Northern CA, had never been to Colorado and chose Vail and this Condo near the Racquet Club because both seemed really family friendly. We were thrilled to be staying in an updated, beautiful Condo right next to the creek. Our 18-year-old son had been a passenger in a car accident and had broken his neck just three weeks and a few days prior to this vacation. He's wearing a neck brace 24 hours and day and had been cleared to go with us.

He ended up staying in the condo almost the entire five days we were there, but he enjoyed the views, the sound of the creek and was able to walk up to the Racquet Club with us later in the week to use the hot tub and the steam sauna. He also came with us to dinner three nights at the local Blu's restaurant which had very good food and reasonable prices.

Our 16-year-old son enjoyed hanging out at the Condo with his brother too, and liked being able to go to the gym and swimming pool during the day. He only rode the shuttle bus with us into town once. My husband and I loved Vail Village and Lionshead; we took the convenient shuttle bus twice and drove our rental car a couple times and made several trips to the Safeway. The two of us also made a day trip to Aspen. That drive was even prettier than the drive from Denver to Vail. We all the loved the area and want to come back someday so we can do the excursions we had originally planned to do.

We will definitely be going back to Vail and will stay in Sherri's condo again. She was very accommodating and gave us great suggestions about things to do in the area. I would highly recommend her gorgeous condo to family and friends!

Owner's Response: We can not wait to roll out the red carpet for you when you return to Colorado and get to explore the area fully. We trust your son will make a full recovery and that your family will be able to return to the Vail valley and tackle the original itinerary you had planned. We wish you the best, Sherrie
