Great Villa for family

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four (parents plus two older sons) stayed at Little Palm for six nights. This was a perfect place for us. Ample room, fairly private, adequately stocked kitchen, very clean throughout and a well maintained private pool. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom. There is AC in each of the bedrooms that helped at night. In the upstairs where the living room and kitchen are AC was not needed because of the steady winds. We adjusted the temperature by simply opening or closing the sliding door. The view is better than the pictures and the location was perfect. We rented a vehicle from Andys. Renting a vehicle is an absolute must. Exploring the island, going to restaurants or simply going to the grocery store are a little ways away. RENT A VEHICLE. The bakery at the end of the road is a great way to start your day. You can walk or drive there. The best part of the house is the man who watches the house for the owner. His name is Isaiah and he was great. He met us at the house, went over the basics and also left us a phone to use so we would not have to use ours. He came back a few times for different things. He also spent time with us discussing the history of the island, his family history and things we could do. He is a valuable asset to the owner.

Our family of 7 stayed for a week in April and Little Palm was perfect. The porch views are great. The pool is very nice although we spent most days at different beaches. The house had everything we needed and more. Isaiah warmly greeted us and gave us good insight on local activities and happenings. We love the location on the east end of the island. We walked several times to the bakery and a great Italian pizzeria, the Artisan. We also picked up fresh (still alive!) lobsters and fish from the fisherman at the Island Harbour pier. Anguilla is an incredible island and the house was perfect.

Beautiful property, fabulous location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent two weeks at this beautiful villa in November and we absolutely loved the property. It is located on the East end which is our favorite part of the island but you are never far away from anything on Anguilla. We were within walking distance of a great pastry shop and a few minutes drive from Shoal Bay East. It was fabulous having the pool for those days when you just wanted to stay close to "home". It was more space then we needed for the two of us as the house is very spacious with three bedrooms and baths on the ground floor as well as a sitting room and small kitchen. The upstairs is one open area including kitchen, dining and living area. Just to reassure anyone who had concerns as I did, you do not need a/c upstairs. If you open the beautiful balcony doors on all sides the breezes are incredible. Balconies exist on all four sides upstairs and three of them provide ocean views. The kitchen is fully stocked and the owner was nice enough to provide a few staples for when we arrived. Having the laundry room and clothes line was a great feature, stay for two weeks, pack for one. This property is in a residential area but you feel very safe and the grounds keeper for the property is only a few minutes drive away. When I couldn't find the iron, which was in a cupboard, the neighbour was nice enough to lend me hers. I have looked at most of the properties on Anguilla that are available for rent and this property provides fabulous features for the price asked.

Island Harbour, Anguilla.

  • 5 of 5

We spent two weeks at Island Harbour. Absolutely fabulous. We could not have asked for, or expected better. The villa had everything. We especially liked the elevated location looking way out to sea. There are balconies on all sides of the villa which means you can have sun or shade as you choose at all times of the day, and of course there is also the pool which is a bit special. The accommodation is superb, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. We hired a car and travelled the whole Island several times. Played golf at the Cuisinart Golf Club - magnificent course, and went sailing out to Prickly Pear Island, all marvellous. Also pale gold beaches and turquoise sea, beautifully warm, and impossible not to enjoy. In all we had a wonderful time and would recommend this location and the Island Harbour Villa to anyone.

Stay in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Spent two weeks at Little Palm. The elevated position of the villa gives fantastic views over the bay. The accommodation is everything we thought it would be; clean, well maintained, well equippped and just so peaceful. We hired a car to visit all the beaches which are just amazing with beautiful sand and turquoise seas although the pool at the villa is excellent with sunbeds and umbrellas. There are plenty of restaurants around, but a barbeque on the balcony at the villa is just so relaxing. The CuisinArt Golf Resort on the island was well worth a visit where we hired clubs and a buggy. Did not want to come home back to the cold weather in England. Would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Lots of +++ but there are issues to be aware of

  • 3 of 5

Lots of good comments about this villa and most are correct. Clean/Great View/Great pool/Spacious.

The things that aren"t mentioned are things you should be ready for, the cable tv never really worked while we were there.

Despite efforts by local person in charge of assisting vacationers { a great guy very helpful} it seemed to be a local connection issue. In any event at this point, do not count on watching tv at night. This problem may be fixed in the future .

The internet only worked 50% of the time. On and off on and off, also a local infrastructure issue I believe, anyway be prepared.. AND there is a washer but NOOO dryer. You must hang your laundry on the clothes line or on railings. Apparently this saves the owner money.

Walk to the beach???, 1-2 miles in the hot sun?? Not sure who the people that . it is an easy drive however.

Owner's Response: Response by owner. The period covered by this review was in early December 2013 which followed a very late hurricane season and storms which flooded ‘The Valley’ and other parts of the island resulting in telephone and cable infrastructure problems island wide. This happens in low season but rarely. Our systems are delivered from two separate suppliers with separate infrastructures and the properties in our part of Searocks have protected the immediate area by removing overhead wiring and poles to improve the immediate environment while also protecting the infrastructure in hurricane periods, so are less susceptible to interruption. We always recommend a car as there are so many attractions and beaches to visit in Anguilla. There is access to the seashore opposite the villa and closer sandy beaches that 1 to 2 miles. The property benefits from sea-breezes year round with the fantastic weather we normally enjoy and drying clothes is no problem. WE may provide a dryer in the future but first complaint.
