About Lynn Gallagher

My family bought this cabin back in 1972 and we spent every summer here for years and lot's of great winter fun too. This is old tahoe with friendly neighbors and a very relaxing pace. You'll love the beach just down the hill and the pier for evening fishing or glass of wine while the sun sets and you watch the sailboats go back into Meeks Bay.

Lynn Gallagher purchased this cabin in 1972

Why Lynn Gallagher chose Meeks Bay

Great location close proximity to the beach and all Meeks Bay resort. This side of the lake has kept the 'old Tahoe' charm and is a great place for a family vacation. There's a good reason someone coined the phrase 'West Shore's the Best Shore' It's true. Experience it for yourself!

What makes this cabin unique

Meeks Bay beach is one of the most beautiful and safe beaches on the lake. There is a north beach which has a snack bar and lodge and a south beach which is run by the State and has camping. Both are beautiful and uncrowded when the rest of the lake gets crazy in the summer. Yet if you are looking for more to do you can visit North Shore or South shore...both a short drive away. Within a few miles is Sugar Pine Point State Park, D. L. Bliss State Park. Chambers Landing historic bar and restaurant on the lake and Emerald Bay with the Vikings Holm. Just above Emerald Bay is a short hike up to Eagle Lake and beyond to other alpine lakes. Trust me...there's plenty to do or it's just as fun to do nothing but soak up the sun and blue of the water and sky!

Relaxing Tahoe Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Property met our needs to a tee. We were 2 couples and we each were able to have our own space and bathrooms. One of our party members was recovering from surgery and it was wonderful for him to relax on the deck and to walk to the nearby beach. Quiet neighborhood and kind neighbors!

Great family reunion cabin

  • 4 of 5

Lovely rustic cabin close to the water. Walking distance to beach in a quiet neighborhood. I gave 4 stars because the cabin didnt have Wi-Fi and cell service is a bit spotty. I would definitely stay there again!

One of the best locations on the lake

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin with us. This is such a cute Old Tahoe style cabin yet it has plenty of room for a family or two. I especially love the huge deck where you can eat all your meals and relax and watch the activity on the lake through the trees. Or it is just a hop down to a private entrance to the best white sand beach on the lake at Meeks Bay resort. Just grab a couple towels, a cooler and stroll down for your day at the beach - complete with a burger shack, SUP and kayak rentals. And I must say we had the best 4th of July celebration ever! You can see both North and South shore fireworks from the homeowner's pier. Love this place!!!
