Our location can't be beat and our amenities are top notch. You can start your day taking in the fantastic view of the fjord from the breakfast nooks. Relax with a drink in your deck chairs on the front decks as you watch the ships set sail in Resurrection Bay. Enjoy the sun setting over Mt. Marathon from the covered back deck. The Seward House is sure to enhance your Alaskan experience and provide real value in your lodging needs.
Downstairs is a clean, comfortable three bedroom, two bath unit. There are 4 beds in all. This unit comfortably sleeps 6-7. There is a master bedroom with an attached bath that has a queen and a twin. Down a short hallway you’ll find two rooms that share a bathroom. One room has a queen and the other has a full and a twin.
The large well-equipped kitchen downstairs makes cooking the catch of the day a breeze, or use our Kamado charcoal grill. Most guests make use of our free washer and dryer to freshen up and use our free WI-FI to send out fabulous vacation pics.
Both halves of the duplex rent together meaning we can accommodate groups of up to 12 or 13.
The newly remodeled upstairs space offers 2 bedroom/2 bath with an additional sleeping space and futon in the open loft. A full kitchen, laundry and WI-FI round out the amenities. The view from the upstairs unit is amazing, we often whale watch from the couch! This upstairs space sleeps 6 comfortably. The master has an attached bathroom and has a queen bed. The bedroom on the top floor of the house has a full sized bed and a twin. There is an open loft on the top floor that is equipped with a Klik-Klak sleeper futon.
The rate for the whole house is $535 per night plus tax.
Our capacity maxes out at 12-13 occupants total. There are many rentals within walking distance if your group exceeds 13. We are unable to accommodate RV parking in our parking area. There is a lovely oceanside camping area along the waterfront just a block in front of the house. Thanks for remembering that amenities (WIFI, shower, laundry, etc) are for paying rental occupants only. Thank you also for honoring our no pet policy.
Our central location with offstreet parking spaces for your boat and/or vehicle (no RVs) makes for a great home base as you explore our community. Walk a block toward the ocean and hit the bike path that leads to the harbor in one direction and The SeaLife Center in the other. Three blocks to the west of us is the trailhead for Mount Marathon. You can leave the front door and hike directly up either the Marathon Bowl or the Race Trail!
We are family friendly at The Seward House. There is a pack and play in the unit as well as a high chair. There are not one, but TWO playgrounds within a block and a half!
Occasionally (especially during the off season and winter) we can be talked into renting only the downstairs space for smaller groups and/or longer term renters. Please inquire if you have specific requests outside our posted parameters.

Great place in a beautiful location
Leanne and Dan (and kids) were excellent hosts!
Great spot for large groups!
Beautiful house. Upstairs unit well furnished and has beautiful space to hangout as a group.
Wonderful. Well located with a great view
We stayed in this lovely home in Seward after a 7 day Alaska cruise. It was a perfect place for 10 family members to relax, cook and eat together, and from which to explore Seward, the Kenai Fjords and the Russian River Falls. It had everything we needed. Thanks so much Leeann and family! And we loved your smoked salmon.
Great location with everything within walking distance, fantastic accommodations and everything neede
Wonderful experience for all (adults and children) and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away, relax and just enjoy down time. Would liked to have stayed longer and lousy weather doesn't detract at all. Fantastic view and great location make this the top choice over hotels/motels in the area and can easily eat in or dine out. Dan and Leanne are great to work with and very thorough in getting you lined out to come and stay. Wish this existed in other parts of Ak., but Hooray for Seward. What a great community to visit. All you need is a Good bakery and you'd have it nailed down. Hum, wish we could. Anyhow, thanks a bunch Leanne. You're awesome. Gordon& Kendra& Fam.
The Seward House
This house was great for our large group (10 adults). It was within walking distance to restaurants, shopping. We rented both sections and made the upper level our gathering area/breakfast area. The view from the upper level was awesome!! It was also wonderful to have two washer/dryers. Plenty of hot water for showers. Beds were adequate. If we travel back to Seward, we would definitely rent this house again! BTW, the salmon was yummy!!
