Our location can't be beat and our amenities are top notch. You can start your day taking in the fantastic view of the fjord from the breakfast nooks. Relax with a drink in your deck chairs on the front decks as you watch the ships set sail in Resurrection Bay. The Seward House is sure to enhance your Alaskan experience and provide real value in your lodging needs.

Downstairs is a clean, comfortable three bedroom, two bath vacation rental. There are 4 beds in all. This unit comfortably sleeps 6-7. There is a master bedroom with an attached bath that has a queen and a twin. Down a short hallway you’ll find two rooms that share a bathroom. One room has a queen and the other has a full.

The large well-equipped kitchen makes cooking the catch of the day a breeze, or use our Kamado charcoal grill. Most guests make use of our free washer and dryer to freshen up and use our free WI-FI to send out fabulous vacation pics. During the winter this unit rents out at $160 per night and sleeps 7.

During the summer both halves of the duplex rent together meaning we can accommodate groups of up to 12 or 13. The newly remodeled upstairs space offers 2 bedroom/2 bath with an additional sleeping space and futon in the open loft. A full kitchen, laundry and WI-FI round out the amenities. The view from the upstairs unit is amazing! This upstairs space sleeps 6 comfortably. The master has an attached bathroom and has a queen bed. The bedroom on the top floor of the house has a full sized bed. There is an open loft on the top floor that is equipped with a Klik-Klak sleeper futon. The summer rate for the whole house is $515 per night plus tax.

Our capacity maxes out at 12-13 occupants total. There are many rentals within walking distance if your group exceeds 13. We are unable to accommodate RV parking in our parking area. There is a lovely oceanside camping area along the waterfront just a block in front of the house. Thanks for remembering that amenities (WIFI, shower, laundry, etc) are for paying rental occupants only. Thank you also for honoring our no pet policy.

Our central location with offstreet parking spaces for your boat and/or vehicle (no RVs) makes for a great home base as you explore our community. Walk a block toward the ocean and hit the bike path that leads to the harbor in one direction and The SeaLife Center in the other. Three blocks to the west of us is the trailhead for Mount Marathon. You can leave the front door and hike directly up either the Marathon Bowl or the Race Trail!

We are family friendly at The Seward House. There is a pack and play in the unit as well as a high chair. There are not one, but TWO playgrounds within a block and a half!

When it's not otherwise occupied(late August-May-low season) we live onsite in the other half of the duplex, so please feel free to stop by for a cup of sugar and a tall Alaskan tale!

The position of this house was fantastic, owners lovely and gave us a warm welcome with handmade gift of smoked salmon and card. If we ever travel back to Seward, Alaska we will be booking this place again.

Perfect for our Family

  • 5 of 5

This home is by far the best place to stay in Seward for a family or large group!! We reserved both the top and bottom portions of the home and were able to really spread out with our family, having the small children sleep in the lower portion so they could sleep more peacefully without hearing the adults upstairs moving around and talking. While they were upstairs though, they thoroughly enjoyed the "play room" upstairs!! Even without the kids though this place would be perfect! It is a wonderful, clean home with gorgeous views looking out on to the bay and the home is well set up for just about anything you could need!! We even got to have a bonfire out back which was a special surprise!! Thank you for taking such great care of us!

Everything you need at an affordable price

  • 5 of 5

We rented the bottom half of the house and it had everything we needed. Leanne was right there to answer any questions we had and when the coffee pot broke, she brought us hers. When we needed a cake pan, she brought us hers. When we needed a toaster, we had one in 2 minutes or less! Very accommodating hosts! I would recommend this place to everyone.Thank you!

Fabulous house, welcoming hosts, stunning views, walk to everything

  • 5 of 5

We looked hard for a property that would accommodate our extended family of 12 and this one suited beautifully. We were met with clear welcoming instructions from Leanne and Dan and a wonderful gift of delicious home caught, smoked and canned salmon that we used for omlets and sandwiches during our stay. The house had two separate apartments that allowed our family separate space and a large common area with awe striking views of Resurection Bay and the snow capped mountains on the other side. The back deck offered similarly beautiful views of Mt Marathon. We loved Seward and felt we were in the center of everything. The restaurants, parks, playgrounds, Museum/Library, and scenic walks as well as Mt Marathon hikes were highlights as were the standard not- to -be-missed tourist fare of boat tours of Kenai Fiords National Park, short drive to Exit Galcier, and the impressive Sea Life Center. We recommend this property without reservation. We will be back as we have so much left to see and do.

Wonderful bay views and extremely well stocked.

  • 5 of 5

Lovely home with well stocked kitchen and pantry. Accommodated a party of 12 very well. Nice furnishings and gorgeous views with a short walk to the beach or downtown. Grill was a little rusty but worked well for our foil wrapped salmon. We would stay there again
