About Scott Williamson
In 2003 my wife Heather and I came to Western North Carolina and fell in love with the mountains and its people. After putting on our hiking boots and looking at properites all over the area we found our dream property in the Crabtree area of Haywood County. This is where we built our dream mountain home that we would love to share with you. We look forward to many years of living our dream, which most definately includes horse back riding, hiking and getting to know all the beautiful areas of Western North Carolina.
Scott Williamson purchased this Estate in 2006
What makes this Estate unique
Escape from the daily rushing around and enjoy the peace and privacy our property has to offer. Walk down to the River to fish for Trout, take a walk on our trails or just enjoy sitting out on the deck looking at the beautiful mountains. Bring your horse if you have one and take advantage of the many miles of old logging trails from the Estate.

I picked this location for the views and it did not disappoint! We had 6 ladies for a 50th birthday celebration and we loved this house. Each day, we drove into Ashville to check out downtown and the Biltmore Hotel. Fun!! It is a 40+ minute drive so plan your schedule accordingly. We wish we would have planned a full day to just enjoy the views and the house. It was comfortable and had almost everything we needed. Bring coffee...this was our only regret as we were not able to stop and shop the first night so the first morning was scary! TVs worked and kitchen had plenty of dishes!
A family member was getting married at Lake Junaluska so I looked for a place to stay in the area. I came across this home on HomeAway and it looked perfect for us. There were 10 of us- my family which included a 3 year old and 6 month old, my wife's sister's family and the grandparents. The views from the living room are breathtaking and the house is beautiful. Unfortunately we had a lot of wedding events to attend to so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors as much but the kids got to enjoy it a little bit. I highly recommend staying at this home! It's as advertised. My only tip is to do grocery shopping before you arrive at the house since the nearest large supermarket is 5+ miles away.
Had a great time in this beautiful home. Was looking for a week of rest and tranquility and that’s exactly what it was.
Wonderful family getaway.
The property was beautiful. The home was perfect for a large family or two families. Location was fairly close to skiing. Property owners were very attentive to any concerns and responded quickly.
It was absolutely beautiful!!!
Everything was beautiful. The house was breathtaking when we walked in.
Beautiful home with amazing views
What a beautiful home. The pictures do not it justice. The home is massive, well organized spaces and incredible views of the mountains. It has total privacy up on top of a mountain with views of the mountains from all the rooms. Has a wonderful yard as well. We had deer in the yard at night which the kids loved. The kitchen is fabulous and well stocked. It’s close to Waynesville and the ski resort. Wonderful bedrooms and bathrooms with lovely fireplaces. We had plenty of wood for the weekend. It really is hard to tell from the pictures how truly lovely it is. Wonderful for a large family. Do get groceries before you arrive though!
