If you are looking for a vacation house where you can relax and enjoy Montana living at its most authentic, then the FRIDLEY CREEK GUEST HOUSE, located on the famed Story Ranch, Montana's oldest family operating cattle ranch, is the place for you!
This casual, two-story house includes everything you need for your home away from home. After a fun-filled day, you can sit back and enjoy the magnificant scenery from the deck, a cool drink in hand and a juicy steak sizzling on the grill.
The Yellowstone River is a short distance from the house. It flows as it has for centuries, in its natural state, undamed and untamed. Clear, cool, swift and challenging, it offers fishermen and river runners some of the best water Montana has to offer. To fishermen, its blue ribbon waters are known world-wide for an abundance of big trout.
Just 30 minutes south is the oldest entrance to Yellowstone National Park, where you can visit Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, fish Trout Lake, hike the back country, or photograph wildlife in their natural environment.
Chico Hot Springs is just 5 minutes away; you can soak in their geothermal hot springs or enjoy a meal in one of the three eating establishments: The Chico Saloon, the Poolside Grill or the Dining Room at Chico. All feature foods grown in their garden and greenhouse, plus, the menu in the Dining Room is crafted by local chefs who specialize in seasonal, local flavors to offer you a gourmet dining experience. Their Sunday Brunch is on every visitor's 'must-do' list!
The Music Ranch is located approximately 10 miles from the house. In its unsurpassed natural setting, the Music Ranch offers a great listening experience to people of all ages.
We know you will enjoy staying at the FRIDLEY CREEK GUEST HOUSE. Give us a try . . . you won't be disappointed!
We are offering ranch tours this year with history of the area.
Keywords: Casual, two-story house set alongside a beautiful creek and surrounded by majestic mountain peaks.
I built this house with friends in 1981 to house hunting clients in the fall. The rest of the year I work with fire crews on widfires around the nation and June through August the house is empty.
I love the view and close access to the river and hiking trails in paradise valley. This is an operating cattle ranch and at times we do give tours when posible.
Excellent accommodations for our group of ten. The kitchen was very well equipped, four convenient bathrooms, large dining and gathering areas, and convenient location. The property was clean and well maintained.
Let's get the best thing about this place out: The location! It's on a beautiful ranch facing Emigrant Peak and is surrounded by a creek to the back and horses in the front that graze all day and are very friendly to approach.
The proximity to Yellowstone NP and Livingston/Bozeman is great. 30-45 mins in each direction. Also, the famous Chico Hot Springs and Ranch is 5 mins away. Went horseback riding there and indulged in the local nightlife a few times.
The ranch house itself was very spacious and accommodating. There are HD TVs in the master suite and the upstairs living/entertainment room. The kitchen is big and open as was the main dinner area (biggest table I've ever seen in a rental property). The back deck and yard was large and spacious with a nice picnic table and reclining chairs for relaxing. The view from the deck is breathtaking to say the least.
The free WiFi was a nice bonus as was the condiments and beer in the fridge.
My family and I will be coming back to this place in the future. The management of the rental property are the actual owners of the Story Ranch and they were very accommodating.
The property was as described. It was clean and had plenty of kitchen necessities to prepare meals. I would recommend to anyone who did not mind being on a ranch where there is a bit of mud when it rains and horses randomly appear at your door. We enjoyed our time there.
The owner answered all our questions to our satisfaction.
Directions to finding the property could be improved. Maybe inclusion of a simple map might help. I would not recommend it for anyone with mobility limitations, too many stairs.
