Auch einen ganz herzlichen Dank an Marie Francoises, sie ist ein echter Schatz!
We had the perfect family holiday in this idyllic, beautiful home. The cottage is truly gorgeous, well-equipped clean and spacious. It is set in such pretty grounds, the photos just don't do it justice - you have to see it. Altogether it is a perfect picture postcard of the region. They offer 3 different sitting areas outside, we used them all. Our boys loved the pool, although quite cold in June it was refreshing and clean - in fact someone came to clean it again during our week stay. You could hear the crickets by the pool whilst lying on sun loungers looking at the beautiful flowers and fruit trees.
The location is very good - although you definitely require a car as it feels as if it is in the middle of nowhere (part of the attraction). However you are spoilt for choice with little towns and villages to visit. In fact the information provided in the cottage (which is very good) shows you could actually visit a different traditional market nearby every day. We visited a couple during our stay to pick up local fresh produce to bring back to eat in the grounds. Gorgeous!
A perfect holiday destination.
Our family of four had a lovely retreat in this delightful home. The old house is charming and comfy; a great example of a Provencal country home. The grounds are truly stunning, lined by rows of tall trees and filled with lush, colorful plants. The effect is of a secluded sanctuary . We spent a good deal of time soaking in the birdsong, sun and refreshing breezes on the patio and often lost our ambition for touring. Our boys loved swimming in the pool, which was clean and well-maintained with many comfortable lounge chairs. The situation of the house was excellent as a base for exploring the many nearby villages with their own charms and sites-medieval and ancient. We found the owner's advice on markets and restaurants very helpful. For dinner, we would additionally recommend La Troubador in Visan, which is a short drive or bicycle ride away. If you are up for an outdoor adventure, walk upstream in the valley of Toulauranc to find beautiful canyons and refreshing waters. This is a very special place and you will walk away with lasting memories of your time here.
