If that is not enough for your pleasure, a short ride takes you to West Bay Club's private beach and beach house. There you will have complementary towel/umbrella and chair service. You were right...We loved it!
Thank you for letting us rent your home for the month. We loved everything about our stay and can't wait to return in the near future for more than a month! Glad that your home had #4 bedrooms and #4 bathrooms to accommodate our family when they came to visit. We loved the updated work out facility and the large Club House swimming pool. The kids had fun eating by the pool. Retirement is just around the corner and we look forward to swimming, relaxing and enjoying time at the Beach House once again. We would NOT rent from this owner again.
We signed the winter rental agreement in June, 2013 for 1/14-4/14. In October our permanent home sold with the provision that we would close ASAP. We headed to Naples Nov. 1 to look for a full time home and found the market very tight and needed to act quickly. We found a home and again they wanted a quick settlement. We asked the owner of this rental property to rerent Feb, Mar, Apr. At first she refused. When my husband enticed her with a $500 bonus for each month rented, she agreed. However, she now insisted that taxes be paid on each monthly amount which she had not charged for the initial four month rental. She also averaged out the monthly rental costs so that when she returned monies owed to us the base price was a lesser amount and we received $500 less back for each of those months....tricky accounting to her favor. We also had requested some area rugs and a desk when we initially signed the lease. She agreed at that time, but now required us to pay for the items. We had no choice since we wanted her to lease the months so we could recover at least some of our rent. Anytime that we have rented our personal rental units out and someone had to cancel, we refunded everything in full as long as we were able to rerent the unit. It was the only ethical thing to do. This owner did not seem to agree to that premise. She partially rented April, but all we got back were the taxes that she charged us for and $500 more. I would hate to think what we might have been charged if a dishwasher or refrigerator had a problem. I am sure that she would have taken it out of our security deposit, etc. saying that we must have caused the problem. Life events happen that you can't control and she totally took advantage of our situation.
Several things about the house....one of the "bedrooms" has no closet and no bath...you have to cross the l.r. and f.r. to get to the bath; there is only one table for eating, working, playing games, etc....that is why we asked for a desk for the computer, etc; all the tvs and associated equipment are old and need to be replaced; the d.r. window is on the side of the house, not covered and service people can see in very easily when walking to the back yard. The tree in front of the window does not protect it. The kitchen could be better stocked. She also has a low threshold for utility charges. All in all we received back less that 60% of our payment to her.
