Emerald Skye is a small quiet 32 unit complex on the eastern edge of the Alabama State Park. This premier location allows you to have a relaxed and uncrowded beach vacation. One key feature of this unit is that it sits on the second floor giving you clear views without the annoyances that come with high rise units.
This unit sleeps a total of 5. The master bedroom features a king bed and is located on the north side of the unit. An adorable built in bunk bed in the hallway provides sleeping for two. A blow up mattress has been provided by the owner for an additional guest sleeping option.
The living room is beach front with terrific views of the Gulf and is open to the kitchen and dining area. A large flat screen TV and DVD player offer up great entertainment options.
You will love the open kitchen that looks out to the beach. The counter top wraps around to offer a bar for additional seating or buffet style serving. Appliances include: refrigerator, electric oven with four eyes, dishwasher, coffee pot, and several other small appliances.
The small dining table seats two in its current configuration, but can be re-configured to seat four using the bar stools.
Why rent this unit? Our guests really love the express check in where you are not forced to go to a sales office and stand in line to pick up or drop off a key. Just drive to your unit with your booking packet in hand and start your relaxing beach vacation.
Guests of Emerald Skye love the location of the unit; being just on the east side of the state park means that the beach is not overcrowded by other high density condo developments. Cotton Bayou public beach is to the east and will be a less crowded beach area than other areas of Orange Beach that have more condos surrounding the area. You will love walking the uncrowded beaches just steps from your private balcony.
Condo amenities include: outdoor pool, fitness center, bbq/picnic area, beach access by board walk with showers and foot wash station, and shaded common seating at the beach access for those looking for a little less sun.
Emerald Skye is a budget travelers dream come true. If you are looking for a getaway location with great views and quiet beaches then look no further.
This is your vacation hideaway!

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes. However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older to reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. We have no exception to this policy.
Condo was worst than any unit there. Our family had 4 units and ours was the worst. Call many times to get tv fixed no response. Bedroom blankets stunk. Floors had never been washed. Over all Emerald Skus had great views. Nice complex.
We stayed in this condo for 3 days and had a wonderful time. The condo is right on the beach with a view of the beach and ocean. The pier lights up at night, but you can't use it as it belongs to another condo. The condo itself is decent. Not spotless, but overall feels clean. I think it may just need a deep cleaning and some updating. The bunk beds are small so not idea for larger kids. The area is nice and convenient and easy to get in and out of. The complex was quiet while we were there even though it was the end of spring break.
I would recommend this condo to anyone that wants a beach view and easy access to the beach and water. We would stay here again!
Thank you for the wonderful stay. It was just what we needed.
Old, stinky dump. Don't waste your money.
The kitchen counter was not clean with left over food, the bunk beds were full of sand, the shower curtain was molded and the plaster coming off the wall with mildew on the wall. The king size bed was like sleeping on the floor and the linens did not fit. Condo needs to renovated. It is like they are just getting by to make as much money as possible.
I was thrilled and a little surprised at how wonderful the condo ended up being. Let me say the first thing we noticed was how clean it was. It was decorated beautifully and was everything it promised The pool is a bit small but as we went for the beach was not a problem for us. I would gladly stay here again and again
BUYER BEWARE! You DO NOT want to rent this unit until its major and minor issues have been addressed. As I sit here and type this the maintain crew has just left without out being to fix a MAJOR safety issue.
1. There are at each bunk bed an outlet where a wall sconce should be. There was no light bulb. No shade. It was however LIVE! If my children had stuck their little fingers in it they would have been shocked. The maintenance crew was NOT able to fix this problem with an outlet cover. This needs a patch job. Until this is fixed this is a major safety hazard.
2. Glass slider door lock is BROKEN. There is a piece of wood that is being used to act as the "lock". However it is too big and lays at angle.
3. Electrical cover in master broken (was just repaired at my request)
4. Garbage disposal does NOT work nor could the maintenance crew find where the switch is to turn it on.
Harris Properties' response to safety issues was that they hire a cleaning company that is to inspect the unit for all things including safety issues. I felt like they were passing the buck. They are the "managing" the unit right?
Cosmeticly it needs some help. Busted titles. Could use a really deep clean. Not just a once over with a mop. Paint chips, cracks. Busted paper towel holder that is rusted. A NASTY old cheap coffee maker. How hard is it to replace a nasty coffee maker and a rusted up broken paper towel holder? Now let's talk about comfort. If you like a nice firm yet soft comfortable bed you will NOT find it here. All beds (master and bunks) are hard as plywood. The pillows in the unit are the strangest I have ever seen. They are between 2-3 inches thick and hard. Think cardboard. My five year old asked "mommy why are these pillows so hard and thin?" I don't even know where you can purchase pillows like this. On the master there is a random number of 3 on the bed. Maybe some loved these hard cardboard pillows so much they had to take one home as a souvenir. Bottom line is if you are looking for a nice, maintained, comfortable relaxing unit this is not the place for you. The building and location is great. Rent a different unit.
