About Andrew Hughes

I am a Seattle attorney. This area holds a special place in my heart as both a University of Washington alumni and someone who has spent over a decade living and exploring Seattle and the the incredible Fremont neighborhood. I love the energy and diversity of the people and activities Fremont shares with all those who visit. Whether it is shopping and strolling through the many lovely Fremont shops, having a picnic in Gas Works Park or Woodland Park Zoo, browsing the Farmer's Market on every Sunday morning, taking a walk along Lake Union and down the Burke Gilman Trail on a beautiful summer day, or just sitting and relaxing at one of the countless local cafes or bars - there is always something to do, to taste, and always another reason to live and stay in the Fremont neighborhood. I hope you will join me so that I may share my love for this area, Seattle, and the State of Washington as a whole. Safe travels and I hope to see you soon.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

Quiet neighborhood and not too far from downtown. Super comfortable bed!! I thought parking was going to be an issue on such a small street but we were always able to find a space close to the house. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Neat, cheerful and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Really nice place. A very creative layout gives privacy to the sleeping area, which features generous closet space and a compact laundry (washer/dryer.) The remaining space is dedicated to giving users everything they'd want in a kitchen, office and living room, with everything clean and everything uncluttered. Loved the shower -- roomy, plenty of water pressure, plenty of hot water. Lighting is well done and we liked the dimmers. The studio apartment is four steps below grade; several windows high on the walls provided plenty of natural light. We appreciated the pitcher of cool filtered water, the complimentary coffee and the pair of Adirondack chairs just outside our entrance door in a garden setting to have all of these beverages on. The gardens around the whole property were a pleasant welcome "home." The property was convenient to city bus routes that we used to get to center city and Ballard. Very glad we picked this one. Thank you, Andrew.

Exceptionally convenient location!

  • 5 of 5

The unit Is adorable, using every inch of space efficiently and aesthetically. Extremely comfortable bed with plenty of extra blankets, very modern bathroom with terrific water pressure. The whole place was immaculate. Newly installed solar exterior lighting makes returning after dark very secure by illuminating the entrance.

The location is perfectly situated between our "go to" spots: Green Lake and Ballard. Fremont Itself is phenomenal and bus transportation is a snap anywhere around the city.

Some deferred maintenance with kitchen lighting and slightly overgrown vegetation around the windows. When we brought it to the attention of Andrew, he was charming, pleasant, quick to respond and open to suggestions. Ask and he will make it right.

There is no way around it, basement apartments are "light challenged." We were in and out frequently, so it was not a deal breaker. But we needed lights on midday, even when Seattle was sunny. With unprecedented August temps over 90° the unit was comfortable at all times. There was a portable AC for back up and multiple fans.

Comfortable and cozy.

  • 4 of 5

We liked the location. However we would have like to have some washcloths. When we requested them we were told that they would drop some off but when they came (almost 24 hrs later) they said that they didn't have any! The light outside the door wasn't working even though they said that they would fix it. The day we left, it still wasn't fixed. Other that these things, we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, and it was fairly clean.

We loved staying here! The studio is cute, cozy, and is in a great location. We really enjoyed being able to walk to all of the shops and restaurants in Fremont. Andrew was really great to work with, too, and had everything organized and ready for us! Thanks for a fun place to stay!
