Welcome to 'O'Yes!' on Ono Island., a private residence of 5000+- sq.ft, that boast a fabulous view of Bayou St. John with a private sandy beach, an extra long fishing pier frequented by inshore fishing guides, and boathouse with wetslips. It also has a large elevated deck atop the boathouse perfect for sunbathing or just enjoying the large view and incredible western sunsets across the bay and the intercoastal waterway.Unlike most other homes on Ono that sit side by side in close proximity with little privacy between neighbors, this house sits on an otherwise unoccupied cul-de-sac facing northwest, approximately 150'+- in front of other adjoining houses to the east, giving the waterfront elevation a very secluded and private setting. To the west is a 20 acre+- sawgrass field with no houses, frequented by waterfowl common to the area such as ospreys and pelicans, and extending the adjoining uninhabited beach nearly a quarter mile along the water. Once visitors enter the house, and see the view through a 20' high wall of glass windows, then step out on the waterside deck, most all say the same thing, 'O Yes!'.

Our family began frequenting the Orange Beach area in the 90's, and quickly fell in love with the area and it's many attractions. We purchased several condos and enjoyed the beaches and neighbors, but the lack of privacy and apartment style living proved not for us. At the end of the day, we became very bored with going down elevators, laying on the beach, and going back up again. We needed something more; a special place to have a boat, a barbeque grill, a fishing pier, a private beach of our own, and to take our extended family. Ono Island's gated community was the area we eventually decided on, and 'O Yes!' turned out to be just the place and architecture we were looking for, with the perfect location for our needs. We still enjoy a night on the town, a good meal, and an occassional wild afternoon at the Florabama, but it's always good to get back to the privacy and uncomparable sunsets.
O'Yes! sits approx. 150'+- forward the other nearby houses in an otherwise unoccupied cul-de-sac, She offers an incredible northwest view, particularly at sunset from the front deck, while giving a measure of privacy that few locations on the island can match. Osprey nest in the adjoining 20+- acre sawgrass field, and along with pelican, seagull, and dolphin, frequent the waterfront. The sawgrass is also heavily populated with ringneck dove, woodpecker, cardinal, purple martin, bluebird, wren and sparrow, so we leave feeders out for them due to the additional viewing enjoyment they bring. The pier is extra long since the house sits forward, so the constantly changing east-west water currents bring a variety of fish traveling close in to feed on the ever present bait fish. If you like to wet a hook, better bring a good rod, especially if night fishing.under the pier lights. We've caught plenty of reds, specks, sheepshead and flounder, but there are a lot of fish out there after dark that won't even turn before ripping the gears out of a spinning reel.
Perfect vacation spot for our family. Plenty of room for all of us and very relaxing. Fun for young children (ages 2-7 yrs), adults, and grandparents. The owner was always helpful and prompt to answer any questions. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, boating in the clear water and colorful sunsets. The house gives you the feeling of privacy and safety. I was concerned that the family would not be happy without a beachfront, but everyone enjoyed the private white sand beach. The location is only minutes away from the gulf beach, dining choices, and grocery store. 'O' Yes', I hope we can return again.
If you are looking for an escape, you have found it. We spent the week of July 4,2014 here and had a great time. The house was amazing, private beach great for the kids, boat dock was wonderful to keep the boat, and the sunsets just added to vacation.
Fred is great to deal with !
Highly recommend this property !!
From the initial contact, the owner was great to work with. All aspects of the home make it a great retreat. It is very clean, up to date and comfortable. The views from inside the house allow you to enjoy the trip even when weather doesn't cooperate.
Our family just spent a week at Oh Yes! It is a beautiful house with a great private beach and dock. We spent lots of time fishing, swimming and sunning. The owner was very responsive with all questions and helpful with information too. I highly recommend this as your next vacation home!
Thanks for a wonderful vacation spot!
We had such a wonderful time and experience staying at 'O'Yes'! Fred is such a nice gentleman and paid attention to the details to make a really nice stay for us. My husband said several times that he felt so at home here. The beds and furnishings were comfortable. The house was very clean. My boys had plenty of space to hang out. The view was amazing and we had beautiful sunsets. Everything was perfect. Because of the vacant land next to this home, we enjoyed bird watching and watched a mom and dad osprey take care of their babies. The sandy beach is a great spot to enjoy watching the boats go buy and to relax. I truly hope we are able to stay at 'O'Yes'! again. Thank you Fred for a wonderful vacation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Oh Yes" on Ono Island. The views are spectacular and the home is spacious and beautifully appointed. It very comfortably accommodated our large family. The private beach and view of the bay with a nice boathouse for lounging, fishing, and boating gave us all what we wanted. The owners were extremely accommodating and friendly as well and made things very easy for us. We look forward to returning in the future.
