Wonderful retreat in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful time at this house. There were 11 of us, 6 adults and 5 kids and there was plenty of room for all. We enjoyed using all the water equipment that included tubes, kayaks and a paddleboat. The deck on top of the boathouse was a perfect shady place to relax and read a book. We loved the location off Dick's Creek and the cove area with friendly neighbors. The house had many private spots to read a book, play games or put a puzzle together. We loved building a fire each night to make smores. It was so relaxing we hated to have our vacation end. The owner was very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole rental process. I would highly recommend this paradise house!

Wonderful place to make memories

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic place. You honestly don't need to bring a thing other than your clothes and food. We had 11 people in our group and there were plenty of places to sleep comfortably. Lots of space to be together and places to separate to read a book or work on a puzzle. The lake access was wonderful. Plenty of toys to use on the water. We rented a boat one day and the house had a tube we could pull on the back so we didn't have to rent with the boat. Was a little too hot for the fire pit, however, the guys had to do it anyway. Plenty of linens and the kitchen is fully stocked. We only ate out one time during our week at the lake. Mike, the owner was very easy to work with and was always available when I called him prior to our arrival. Everything was perfect so we didn't even call him during our stay. Highly recommend this location.

A Hard-to-Beat Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Lake Burton and this "Paradise" house made for one of our best vacations ever! We're a family that goes someplace together every year, so we have lots of comparisons to make; however this vacation will be hard to beat. The home is beautifully nestled on the side of the mountain with TWO docks and plenty of watercraft. The space was comfortable for our 12-member family and well-equipped; still, we never worried about the kids hurting any fragile or delicate furnishings. We played bean-toss on the deck, grilled hotdogs at the firepit, fished from the dock, and launched the kayak and paddle boat multiple times. If you want a beautiful, relaxed, entertaining vacation, this is a wonderful home to rent. Lake Burton also is unparalleled as a vacation destination.

Family Fun Four Days!

  • 5 of 5

The house and lake were wonderful. We definitely used all the water toys provided...kayaks, canoe, peddle boat, floats...and brought our own paddle boards to round it off! The house was perfect for the 10 people and 2 kids that ended up staying at least one of the four nights. I had planned for as many as 16 and I think the house would have been cramped at that number, but 10-12 is perfect. The kitchen is well stocked and has plenty of plates and silverware for everyone. We enjoyed the fire pit, bar-b-ques and the bags (corn holes) game every day! Took a side trip to Hemlock Falls and we rented a Pontoon boat for one day and had a blast! The house is cool in the heat of summer. I recommend that visitors take advantage of the early morning lake water and go for a swim...fantastic!

annual summer lake visit

  • 4 of 5

We have been going to Lake Burton for the last several years. This year we chose a house that could sleep more people because we had a blended family. The house was spacious and had plenty of dishes and towels(very important!). The house was perfect. The location was good. Not a big view of the lake as the house is located in a cove like area. I missed sitting on the deck and seeing the beauty of Lake Burton that I have come to know. All in all, a good place to stay.
