Master bedroom has a Queen bed. Second bedroom has a bunk bed as well as a trundeled twin, for a total of 4 twin mattresses. Large, comfortable sectional sofa or Queen-size air mattress provide additional sleeping space.
Home is located on a dirt road, so 4-wheel drive or good snow tires are recommended in the winter.

Wonderful property, charming and quaint, perfectly located,
We spent a perfect weekend in this charming cabin perfectly located. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen well equipped, the fireplace quickly heated up the entire house while we comfortably lay down on the lush sofas and indulged in a movie after a wonderful day hiking on mount Mansfield...the place was clean and away from any highways or busy roads...beauty, piece and quiet !!!!

Lovely, PRIVATE and comfortable home!
Our stay was incredibly enjoyable and the owner Kevin was responsive and so helpful! We had rented another house via HA which we were completely displeased with but luckily we happened to find this property which was available and close in location to where we wanted to be. Kevin immediately responded and had the cleaning crew in and out so we could change locations. He was extremely helpful and accommodating! When we arrived at the house we couldn't be happier! The drive up through the neighborhood & down the driveway were peaceful and the views were stunning. Seems like you're in another world but it's a quick drive outside of the town of Waitsfield which had grocery stores, cute shops and yummy restaurants! It is all dirt roads so I can see it being difficult in the spring or winter w/out a 4x4.
The house is modest from the outside but the property, view and interior is just what we were looking for in a Vermont rental! The house is open and spacious with a very nice kitchen to cook in- the gas stove & grill were spotless and the grill was a huge plus! I would say that the kitchen could use some more supplies- like mixing bowls, a peeler and maybe another Pyrex baking dish but nothing that deterred our enjoyment of our stay! The beds were comfy and they all had down blankets with duvet covers which I personally love! There was a beautiful stream to hike down to and you could hear it from the house, even at night from the master bedroom which was so relaxing! There's a nice flat lawn space where kids can play; for us it happened to be our dog who loved the house so much! He ran and hiked around all day everyday- we honestly left the door open and our dog came and went as he pleased- he is very well behaved and would go to the stream and come back up and continue that all day. He was in his glory!! The house has beautiful slate heated floors and lots of windows and sliding doors- there aren't any window covering tho which with 10 acres we didn't mind, but might make some people uncomfortable at night.
The only downfalls, which is why I only gave 4 stars, is the lack of kitchen supplies, some of the cranks for the windows were broken so they were hard to open/shut and the screen doors for the sliders were all stuck shut. The tracks may just need to be cleaned out and sprayed with wd-40 but either way we couldn't use them so had to use side door to acsess the yard.

I love that there wasn't a neighboring house or road visible from this charming little cabin. i loved the wood paneled ceilings and abundant hydrangeas framing the front of the house. The summer scenery was breathtaking- and I couldn't get enough of the fresh air and ambient noise provided by the adjacent brook. It was a perfect getaway location.
gorgeous location and area, had a few issues with house
My husband, our dog and I stayed for a week july 1-8. We had a poor start to our stay. When we arrived Sat. evening, we found the house had not been cleaned. Kevin, the owner, was extremely responsive and apologetic, and he contacted the cleaners and got them in the next morning. But it was a real disappointment to start our trip, and we had to scramble to find a dog-friendly hotel room for the night and wasted some of our time dealing with it all. Again, Kevin was helpful in that also and reimbursed us the cost of the night's stay and the cleaning fee.
The area is beautiful!! We enjoyed lots of short hikes with our dog, and the rivers and streams were high, so it was handy for watering the dog on hikes. The yard was big enough to kick the tennis ball around for the dog and get her some exercise. Access roads to the house are incredibly steep mountain roads, which is great for a workout, but not for an easy walk. But well worth it.
As for the house, it's obviously a ski house, which is not a problem, but it needs a few upgrades to make it better for summer rental. There are several (3-4?) sliding glass doors, and several of them were permanently closed (i.e., wood bolted to floor inside runner to keep shut). Although it mostly stayed cool inside, one or two days were warmer than others, and it was difficult to get a breeze going. There were a few casement windows on one side, over the dining room table, but one of them had a broken crank handle. All windows/sliders that did open had screens but were full of cobwebs and dirty. It would be great if these got cleaned out and fixed up. It wasn't a major problem, but it definitely detracted from the comfort of the house. Also, we made the unfortunate discovery that one of the blankets had clearly - from the stench - been urinated on and then folded up and put away. We'd recommend a deep clean!
The house also felt run down in a few other regards -- dining room chairs were old and several broken - these really need replacing. Broken towel bar in the upstairs bathroom.
I don't want to point out only the negative aspects. Once the place got cleaned, the floors were beautiful and spotless -- and appliances worked fine. And Kevin even bought a brand new gas grill when I told him we would be using it a lot and he checked his and found it was on the fritz. Much appreciated! The place is totally private and quiet, deer came through the yard a few times. That aspect was perfect!

Thanks for your review. Sorry about the rough start to your stay. I just want to clarify that the sliding doors are not permanently closed. A former renter fabricated their own door stops. I thought they were pretty cool and have left them in since. The bolt allows you to more easily grab the stops to remove them from the door jam. I can see how you would have thought otherwise, but the doors do open.
I do need to fix some of the screens, and will make sure the cleaning people do a better job with the window. I''ve found a new cleaning service since your stay.
I am discounting the rates for the rest of the summer (excluding Labor Day Weekend) and will update the house through the rest of the summer and fall.
I always give my cell number to renters and will help out in any way I can to make the stay better.
Great location, cozy, and quiet!
We recently stayed this New Year's and had a great experience. (We only wish we had one more day!) We had two couples and two small children and everyone fit comfortably. We loved the wood stove that warmed the entire house, as well as the nice slate floors. We were lucky enough to have a fresh snowfall, so made sure we took advantage of sledding on the large property! The location was great. We could easily access Stowe, Sugarbush, and a number of other things to do like the Ben and Jerrys factory. The cabin was clean and the kitchen was spacious with great views. So much natural light! The only thing I would recommend is to be sure you have good snow tires or a car that handles snow well in Winter. We will definitely be back!
