Sunday to Sunday Rental. This beach house is located near the end of the Cape San Blas peninsula. About 1mile from the St Joe peninsula state park. Some of the panhandle's best fishing and scalloping is found in the St Joe Bay. There is room for your boat at the house. The park has one of the areas best boat ramp. The crystal clear protected waters of the bay are ideal for snorkeling tubing or just lounging around. If you enjoy good times spent on the beach, collecting shells, sun bathing, or surf fishing you will love this vacation. Don't forget to bring your bicycles, bike rides through the state park or on the beach are awesome.

Such a nice beach house, perfect layout for family and so comfortable! Will use it again!

This beach house is in the perfect location, steps from beach, spent lots of time on back deck overlooking beach, open layout is perfect for large family. 4 Bedrooms are beachy and so comfortable with TV's in 2 BR's.House was very clean. Close to boat ramp and shopping. The ocean was very clear and beach secluded. We loved it and will return.

Best value on the Cape

You won't find a better value on the Cape than the Flying Fish. It's a perfect house to host a large family gathering. We have stayed two years in a row and are already looking to book next year. It's not the fanciest house in the area, but it satisfies every need and some for our group of 8.

Another great week

We have been family vacationing here for several years and always enjoy our stay! The house is no frills, no fuss, and perfect for a relaxing escape. We were impressed with the new carpet and updated screened porch. Beach access is easy and when we need a break, we enjoy short day trips to Port St. Joe and Apalachicola. We're already looking forward to next year. Thank you!

Our Annual Family Getaway Location

The Flying Fish was everything and more. Great beach access! The property has become the spot for our annual family getaways. Every time we use the beach house it is clean and well-maintained. I never find remnants of previous guests, or dirty rooms. We love the spacious openness and especially the decks for beach and star gazing. My daughter and I always set aside a little time to get into Port St. Joe for some great little boutique shopping! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Had some issues with the cleanliness of the house

We booked this house because we loved the location and proximity to the beach, which is great, but after a couple of days we noticed several major issues with how well the house was maintained. My husband and I both have asthma, and after two nights in one of the bedrooms we had to move to another, as we noticed that carpet had been ripped up in the closet and there was noticeable mold in the floor area. We were using our rescue inhalers 4 times per day, which was totally not the norm!

The ceiling fans had heavy dust on tops of them, which was a problem when you turned them on. There were also issues with the lights and fans in the living area- bulbs out, fans didn't come on.

I am an avid cook, and did not like the two burner cooktop. There was a grill unit on the cooktop, but we did not use that, and would have loved a four burner top. Also, the cabinets were highly disorganized, and I had to search at length for items needed for cooking.

Another BIG issue was that we rented this house because of the large screened porch. But when we arrived we found that the two screen doors that closed it off from the outside were missing! What good is a screened porch when the outside elements can come in? We love to open the doors to hear the ocean, but found that we couldn't do this because flies and mosquitoes would come in because the screen porch was not closed in. HUGE disappointment!

I used to own a rental house, and would never have left it with the mold issues or the haphazard organization of the kitchen, especially at the price we paid for the week. Although we did appreciate the proximity to the beach and the spaciousness of the house in general, the cleaning issues were a major disappointment.

Sorry to say that we will not want to rent this house again.

Great Family experience

We had a great time at the Flying Fish. When we arrived the house was very well cleaned. Great location boardwalk is right next to the driveway. Beaches were beautiful and clean. Will definately consider staying at this location again!
