Overview

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Loft, 2+ Baths, (Sleeps 8+)

Location, location, location! My warm and welcoming home is conveniently located .6 miles from the town beach and gorgeous views across Vineyard Sound, .7 miles from the center of Falmouth, an easy stroll to its fabulous variety of shops and restaurants. Best of all, the backyard is adjacent to the Shining Sea Bike Path which now extends over 10 miles, creating easy access to many of Falmouth's beautiful beaches and burrows. The quaint village of Woods Hole is a quick 3 mile ride down the bike path or 5 minute drive along the scenic shoreline. The house sleeps 8 easily: 2 kings, 1 queen, and 2 twins in the bedrooms, and queen hide-a bed in the loft. Enjoy casual dining at the kitchen bar or invite the whole crowd to sit around the dining room table which seats a comfortable 10 (I have seated a cozy 14!). The west facing, sunny deck offers a hardy wooden picnic table, plastic umbrella table and chairs and overlooks the spacious backyard where you can play wiffle ball, Frisbee, catch... The washer and dryer are in the basement. Bathrooms are intimate. Linens are negotiable.

Keywords: Walk to beaches, town center's shops and restaurants. Perfect for multiple families. Warm and friendly. Large deck.

About The Owner

This is my only home. As the mother of 2 adult/college children, and elementary school teacher, I enjoy getting away to the mountains for hiking, rock climbing, biking, or traveling out west for a large portion of my summer break. I will spend a few weeks enjoying my house myself when it is not being rented.

The Owner purchased this house in 2003

Why The Owner chose Cape Cod

This is where my children call home. It's an easy commute to the Mullen-Hall School where I teach. The bird sanctuary is .3 miles down the bike path. Falmouth center and beach are easy walks. It's a perfect location!

What makes this house unique

Enjoy leisurely walks into town or to the beach. The deck hosts sunny afternoons for reading, tanning, or just taking a break from the hustle and bustle of this resort area. The backyard trees also provide cooling shade on hot days. If you are into road biking, there are many routes from this house.

Great place for family

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 and another family of 4 stayed at this lovely Falmouth home. There was plenty of space for everyone with 2 full showers and laundry in the basement. The backyard and deck are incredible and the nights were well spent sitting by a fire. It is .6miles to the beach which was a little too far to walk for us with little kids, but the beach is literally down the street. My husband', being a local, only complaint was that there is no outdoor shower. We will definitely return to Karyn's home. The owner was very nice and very accommodating to all of our needs. A great place for a week in the Cape with your family.

The Familiar Comfort and Eaze of a Cape Cod Escape

  • 5 of 5

What perfect accomodations. We had a group of 8 friends get together here from all over the country. We were able to enjoy both the relaxing nature of the Cape but also take advantage of running trail and nearby basketball courts. The house was immaculate and quite comfortable. It reminded me of the home I grew up in, in upstate New York. I am already planning my next trip for next summer. Coming from NYC is was about 5 hours by car. The owner is quite delightful and hospitable. She even had a fresh fruit salad made for us when we arrived! Such a treat. Thank you for such great memories!
