About The Owner

Hi! My name is Mary Ann and I'm the property manager for Casas de Guadalupe. Tony & Sherrie own two properties right next door to us and they have asked us to take care of their beautiful homes!! They live in Idaho and come back in town from time to time. Every time they come back, their enjoy shopping around town and decorating this beautiful home with authentic pieces of art and furniture. You will love what they've done to the place!!

The Owner purchased this house in 2006

Why The Owner chose Santa Fe

This casita is perfect for families of 4 -6 people! The queen size pull out sofa is great for your extra kids. Both bedrooms are roomy with queen size beds and both have connecting bathrooms. The bathroom off the master bedroom has a jet tub with shower, and the other has just the shower. Our fully equipped kitchen is perfect for a dinner at home. Don't want to cook, there are delicious restaurants within blocks of this casita. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee in our private patio just off the kitchen.

What makes this house unique

This property is located just off of Guadalupe which is one of the main streets that borders the Plaza. Once you cross Guadalupe, you will see lots of shops, restaurants and museums. Park is a very quiet street just off the beaten path. You can enjoy a day at the plaza, walk back to the casita and enjoy a quiet night on the patio. Or take a little walk to any of the nearby restaurants in the area. If you don’t feel like eating out, there are several grocery stores in the area. The kitchen is fully equipped making it easy to whip up a delicious meal of your very own!

Guestbook comments from the manager

Mary Ann, we absolutely loved the casita ... lots of room, great location, the price was competitive, etc. We really enjoyed -- what a charming place and one we would most definitely visit again. We had a great time during our very short visit in Santa Fe.

The rental was adorable and looks just like the pictures. The rooms were clean. Mary Ann was friendly and so nice to work with. It's a nice rental for 4 people. Close to the plaza.

Great Girlfriend Getaway

  • 4 of 5

The Casita was perfect for our long weekend in Santa Fe. This was the 15th year my college girlfriends and I have gotten together throughout the country and this was the way to go!

The casita was darling, had enough room for us to sit around and cool off after walking through the plaza or taking a tour and was in a safe neighborhood.

Thank you to MaryAnn for coaching us through the A/C to work. =) It was great to know you were available if we needed you.

Great walking distance to the Railyard area and the Plaza.

Mary Ann was so wonderful in helping arrange our stay. My parents both in their eighties arrived early and she made sure they were taken care of. That meant so much to me. The property was very beautiful inside. The new remodel was apparent. The home was completely stocked. We didnt want to leave. with a 5 block walk to the Plaza it was a location you would not even need a car to explore Historic Santa Fe. We will definately return to this home again. And the value for this property far exceeded any other we found.

Charming Casita

  • 3 of 5

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property. The casita was very nicely decorated with a terrific location as described. The listing description included "a fully equipped kitchen", however, the casita did not have a dishwasher. We thought this was rather odd as we have stayed in many other rentals that always included a dishwasher. Also, the unit only had one TV in the den. Property was well-maintained but could have been cleaner. Inside lighting was poor (especially in the kitchen) due to low wattage light bulbs throughout the unit.

The casita met all our expectations and more - Very clean, well supplied, nicely furnished and in a perfect neighborhood location. It was so nice to not have to get in a car to see lots of the sites of Santa Fe. (And, we came with two young adults who were happy to be able to walk to the plaza to experience the night life.) We hope to come back to Santa Fe, and would definitely want to stay here again!

Great location, kid friendly

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of renting this casita with our friends, and even though it's cozy for two families, it was very easy to keep track of our little kids (ages 2, 3, and 5). The patio was the perfect place to go blow bubbles, and since it's a central courtyard with the only door being to the house, there was no risk of them going into the street. There is an elementary school just across the street with a playground that was accessible to the public. We walked to the plaza every day (very short walk), a great playground up near Fort Marcy park (moderate walk), the railyard (moderate walk), and even to the children's museum (a long walk). The kitchen is equipped with the very basics, but missing a few things like a cutting board, and my husband was really mad at the coffee pot as it kept turning off on him when he tried to make coffee (but there's a great little coffee place a few streets down on the corner of San Francisco and Sandoval... a hole in the wall, seriously, but great espresso). Oh yes, and the DVD player doesn't work either. Otherwise, very comfortable and a great location. Walking distance to the grocery store too (Albertson's I believe). Mary Ann was also incredibly helpful and provided listings of activities that week, they have a great map with all the local attractions, etc.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your nice comments! It was certainly a pleasure to have served you! And I'm so glad you found so many things to do with the children. That school comes in handy and it's so close! I'm so sorry about the coffee pot and the DVD Player! I had no idea. No one ever told me! I will pick up a new coffee pot, check the DVD Player (some times people unplug things?) and purchase a brand new cutting board as well. So, we will be all set for you on your next visit to Santa Fe! Hurry back and see us!
