About John Glader

This townhouse is my winter camp. I love to play hockey and ski. There is a indoor ice rink a couple blocks away and I can also jump on the free ski bus and be on the mountain in 15 minutes. I am a 65 year old guy of nordic heritage so there is ice in my blood anyway. The rest of the year I live at Glacier National Park, so if you have any questions about the park I can point you in the right direction. The Flathead Valley has been my home for 45 years so I know the endless possibilities for having a fun in this beautiful place.

John Glader purchased this townhome in 2010

Why John Glader chose Whitefish Lake Area

Central location for easy access to downtown, ski area, and Whitefish Lake and public beach. Also walking distance to dining, pubs, micro-brew and distillery. The Glacier Park entrance is an easy drive on Hwy. #2 . There is a free ski bus at the end of the block.

Quiet, friendly, low traffic and safe neighborhood.

Locals use this area for walking kids, dogs and biking, exercise walking and jogging.

This place is in town but buffered by a walking trail park and wildlife conservation acreage. Deer walk around like pets in the neighborhood.

There is a wooded nature walk a block or so away great little walk for kids or a peaceful romantic stroll.

Take a short walk to Whitefish Lake Lodge and enjoy food or a cocktail overlooking Whitefish Lake.

What makes this townhome unique

There is a wildlife conservation area around the corner so you will see deer, song birds, and pheasants in the neighborhood. This is the neighborhood the locals come to to jog, walk, exercise dogs, and stroll with small children. A very safe family friendly area that is watched closely by the neighbors. You are also easy walk from fine dining or great bar-b-que a mile towards town.

A very pleasant one mile walk to town on Colorado Ave. that has sidewalks and antique street lamps for a very safe stroll. Very light traffic day and night.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to call your wonderful place, "home" for two weeks. We arrived home last night and really miss it already. Your place was walking distance from our friends and family which was perfect for everyone! The girls were at the lake Stand-up Paddle Boarding with friends and our dogs!!! Our trips to Glacier were magical-such a treasure!!!!!

We are all looking forward next year, and really hope we can stay again at your beautiful home. Thank you for helping to make our vacation so enjoyable and relaxing.

Looking forward to our return!

Whitefish Townhouse

  • 5 of 5

John was great. He was there when we arrived so we got to meet him. He showed us how a few things worked in the condo and gave us some recommendations for local restaurants since we hadn't been to Whitefish before. He even gave us his garage door opener so we could easily park inside since it was so cold while we were there.

The condo was clean. Kitchen is well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was all nice quality. We used the propane grill one evening and it worked well. The location was great between the town and mountain. There is a great view of Whitefish Mountain from the condo; we were able to see fireworks on the mountain on New Year's Eve. Only minor thing is the neighbors next door have three dogs that can be a bit noisy. But we never heard any train whistles that some complain about in Whitefish. John quickly refunded our damage deposit after the rental period was over.

We'd rent from him again!

Skiing in Whitefish

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at John's Townhouse for a week while we enjoyed the snow on the ski slopes. The location was ideal: the townhouse is on the edge of town close to the slopes and yet so convenient to restaurants and shopping. It truly was a beautiful townhouse and the pictures are very accurate. It had all of the kitchen gadgets that you could possibly need and everything was super clean! The beds were comfortable and the bedding was all nice quality. John was very easy to work with and made the entire process simple and stress free. We will certainly be back for another visit.

Great house convenient to Whitefish Lake, Resort, and Downtown

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for 12 days in June and July. Had a wonderful time fishing, boating, hiking, and enjoying everything about Whitefish. The house met our needs perfectly. Very comfortable beds, great kitchen, nice living room with large TV and good selection of channels and on-demand. Would definitely return!

Wonderful townhouse!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four (2 adults and 2 little ones) stayed at John's place at the end of June while we visited family who live in Whitefish. The townhouse was very clean and our stay was extremely comfortable. The beds were fantastic and the sheets were SO nice and soft! John was very accommodating and checked in on us to make sure our stay was going ok.

The only issue was the next door neighbor parking situation in the shared driveway - but - it wasn't a major issue - more of an annoyance trying to get in and out of the driveway.

We loved walking to the nearby coffee stand - Cowgirl Coffee - grabbing our coffee and walking to the Lodge to sit out and enjoy our coffee in the mornings looking at the lake. Downtown Whitefish is adorable!

We would definitely book this location again!

Perfect Whitefish Accommodation

  • 5 of 5

Three kiwis were lucky enough to stay in Whitefish for month Jan-Feb 2016 and after lots of research we settled on John's home and certainly glad we did. Everything was better than advertised and John was ideal to work with - even popping in to make sure we were comfortable. A lovely home in an ideal location between the town and mountain and far enough away from the railway station to hardly hear the train whistles. One of the best equipped kitchens we have ever come across for thee foodies was a great delight too. Even though we had a rental car, the free snow bus stops at the end of the street.

The house was modern, warm and comfortable with everything you need. We are already planning next year's trip and are wouldn't hesitate to book here again. You won't be disappointed!
