Beautiful, quiet and relaxing.
Very beautiful home on lake Keowee. Drive way is a bit steep but manageable. The gas tank for the grill was empty but the owner had someone fill the tank the next day. So not really a big deal. Home has enough beds to sleep all 12 of us with ease. Great views, very quiet and peaceful, beautiful home inside and out. Fire pit came in handy one night as well. Would definitely suggest this home to friends and family.
Great place to stay. We took 13 total (8 adults, 5 kids) and had plenty of room. Nice, clean, well-appointed house inside and out. Plenty of porch space, nice fire pit, and great two level floating dock. Would rent again. Five stars.
We had a wonderful time at The Rock House on Lake Keowee. The house was accommodating to the needs of our family. Fishing, boat rides, dinner on the deck, card games, swimming, & sleeping in. It was a great place for our family to spend time together and enjoy the week!
Came with some extended family for graduation- looking to avoid squeezing into some over-priced hotel rooms. This home has room to sleep dozens- it seems. Plenty of sleeping as well as family social space in the house. And multi-level outdoor space included 2 enormous decks, a fire-pit area, and a two-level dock with great seating area. All of these had lake views.
We had about 30 people for barbecue and still plenty of room.
Everything impeccably clean when we arrived and everything worked as advertised and up to par. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for alternative to Clemson area chain hotels if you have a few people. Only 20 min to campus- easy drive.
Great getaway. Very peaceful. Beautiful clean lake. There was plenty of room for everyone.
The houses were great. Had some minor issues which the owner quickly resolved. Would recommend this rental to anyone
Perfect for Family Reunion
We just ended a wonderful vacation with family staying at the Rock House. There was plenty of room for sixteen family members with ages ranging from 18 months to 74 years. Very nice location; not too close to town but not too far away either. The house was very well kept, comfortable and inviting; just like walking into home. Beautifully appointed with a collection of children's artwork and full of surprises. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking several full meals during our stay. The Writer's Retreat was perfect for the young adults to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. We loved the access to and from the lake as far as the steps to the dock were concerned. They were not too steep which made the walk back up to the house much more bearable! The kids loved fishing and jumping and swimming off the dock. We explored the lake from boat, and found the Jumping Rock. We also found the Lighthouse Restaurant and Keowee Marina, not to mention several waterfalls in the area, including Lake Jocassee.
Dave and Lucy thought of everything to make our stay pleasant. Dave was excellent at communication and was available by phone or text to answer any questions and discuss any concerns. Only bad thing was we didn't want to leave. Great place to stay and will for sure stay here again if it's available next time we go to Lake Keowee.
