Lovely; as advertised; bathroom FYI

  • 4 of 5

Our intergenerational trip worked well in this large, charming country home, chosen for size & proximity to Lily Dale. Note there is one full bath including shower on the second floor. The other full bath is off the kitchen, tub only, no shower. As a result all 7 of us used one shower upstairs. Worked out fine. Many window a/c units in the home, including the bedrooms, that were quite loud. Overall a good stay, as expected. We would gladly stay again.

We miss it!

  • 5 of 5

I am starting to plan this summer and my thoughts are returning to last year and our wonderful stay at the farm house. The owners were kind and responsive to our every need. Even arranging an outing for the kids to a working independent dairy farm.

Our family covered every age from 8-nearly 80 and all were happy and comfortable. It's an idyllic spot and it could not have been a more memorable experience. The home is stocked with everything you need and is very clean. It's an old family farmhouse. We loved the creaks and the charm. I am getting nostalgic writing this review. Enjoy!

Great Place for Family to Stay

  • 5 of 5

As our family gets older and more numerous, we've been trying to think of a place we could get together with our married kids. This proved to be the ideal spot. A large, roomy farmhouse with plenty of places to spread out and relax. The house is older, but kept very clean and is stocked with everything a family needs: linens, dishes, utensils, grill, excellent stove, refrigerator, air conditioner, laundry facilities, all make for a hassle free stay. You can sense the love and hard work that built the foundation for the current owner who lived here when he was a child. Located on a large working farm with lots of peace and quiet was an added bonus for us. Russ and Fran are wonderful to work with - warm, welcoming, helpful, hard-working, honest and good conversationalists. Our grown-up family all thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. Being close to the amenities of Lake Chautauqua, Mayville, Lake Erie etc made it all the more attractive as a place to stay. We are seriously considering a return in the future.

a perfect spot

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. I could not have imagined a more relaxing and comfortable setting. You and your family are wonderful hosts. Hopefully, we will be able to return in the future.

The house and property worked well for our small family though it could easily host a large gathering. Our only difficult decision all week was selecting which of the wonderful dining areas to use each evening (numerous indoor, patio and outside options).

Last but not least, if you have dogs this is absolutely a treat for them as well.

Heaven

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived for our third stay stay here, the owner, Russ, greeted us with us a big smile, a hug and a booming "Welcome home!"

Well, we just teared up. This is a wonderful, welcoming home in the most beautiful, peaceful place imaginable. Close to so much, but far enough away from it all to relax and kick back and appreciate God's country. The totally equipped kitchen and grills, the farm stands, the fresh fish market in Barcelona and the great local supermarkets meant we had fabulous meals every night.

This place is heaven. And the owners are the coolest people on earth. Really. We can't wait to come home her again.

Cyndi

  • 4 of 5

This was a lovely country retreat for a small family reunion of 8 adults. The home was spacious, clean and charming and plenty of room for four couples to enjoy time together. The owners were excellent to work with and very helpful and the home was well stocked. It is an easy drive to the lake and the Erie wine trail and very close to the Chautauga Institute. If we travel to this area in the future we will certainly consider staying here again!
