Originally a frontier gateway to southwest Florida, Arcadia has survived turbulent wars, disastrous fires and boomtown expansion. The area has preserved its 19th-century architecture and Old Florida charm from early colonial settlements along the Peace River Valley. The Peace River provides a number of scenic walks and canoe trips for those who appreciate rushing rapids and placid, clear ponds. Sebring is nestled among the rolling hills of Central Florida's scenic ridge, near Lake Jackson and Orlando. Sebring is surrounded by fresh water lakes, lofty pines and orange groves. The city was founded in 1912 and has grown into a vibrant and charming community. About eighty percent of Sebring is natural streams, lakes and orange groves and the other twenty percent is mainly residential developments. This makes for a pleasant and scenic setting for Sebring's residents, and is a perfect backdrop for a natural Florida vacation.

About Tom Duncan

My husband and I loved Sebring,Florida.. Ever since we visit Sebring,Florida in 2004 we've been going back to vacation as often as we can. Not Bad

  • 4 of 5

Nice place. It is tiny as it was an RV with expanding rooms. But it is quite comfy and was equipped well. The only issues were the closet door was off track so you could not close it and the TV in then bedroom. The cable did not work which was not a big deal for me as we don't watch TV in bed. The people in the park were quite nice! The only thing is I think the owner has a pillow issue as there were 10 pillows total---LOL

Nice friendy vacation spot.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here about 6 weeks. Our unit was clean and very comfortable. We met some great people and made some life long friends. We enjoyed this area and the friendly residents so much that we purchased a home not far from this great little neighborhood. Thank you Tom & Nora. We will be seeing you each year.

Our visit to Florida

  • 5 of 5

Hello, I would like to give kudos to this little gem. My husband and I traveled from Alaska to visit with family and the location was just perfect for us. The park is quiet and peaceful. Close to everything yet secluded. The trailer was a perfect size for us and was clean and comfortable. When we come back to visit family, we will stay again. Thanks so much!!
