Great unit in an excellent location in a security building at the entrance to Waikiki. A short walk to Waikiki Beach, shopping and restaurants. In close proximity to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the Convention Center, and Ala Moana Shopping Center. Conveniently located on the city bus route and with easy access to Kalakaua, Kuhio, and Ala Wai Blvd., the main routes through Waikiki. Next to Ala Wai Canal for running or casual evening strolls to view the city lights. New carpet in the master bedroom and new furniture, flatscreen TV, and DVD player in the living room. Both bedrooms have queen beds. A porta -crib or inflatable bed available upon request. Bathroom is beautifully upgraded with travertine and granite tub surround, new fixtures and granite sink counter. The kitchen has new cabinets, and is stocked with full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, oven, blender, toaster, coffee maker, cookware, dishes, and utensils.
A pool and gas barbeque area are available on the ground floor of the building. Relax on the lanai and enjoy views of the city and Koolau Mountains.
Covered secure parking for one standard size vehicle is included at no additional cost with the unit. Coin operated laundry facilities are available on each floor of the building with larger commercial size washers and dryers on the lower level.

My husband and I have lived and worked in Honolulu and Waikiki for over 30 years. We own our own business and I am a school teacher. We met in Waikiki and enjoy spending our free time in the area taking advantage of the beautiful scenery, fun water sports and beach activities, shopping, and restaurants there.

We were very excited to find this condo in such a terrific location right at the entrance to Waikiki. We enjoy spending time staying there ourselves as well as having friends and family come to town and stay in the unit.
Our favorite part of staying at the unit is it's close proximity to some of our favorite Waikiki restaurants and Waikiki Beach. Some places we would recommend for our guests to try are Kobe Steak House, Tony Roma's, and Keo's Thai Cuisine.
Carol - the owner, was great, friendly, informative & helpful. I stayed for a week w/a friend. The place was clean, well furnished & came with a parking space (a big plus). The beds were comfortable! Location is great! No complaints & would not hesitate to book again next time I am visiting Honolulu!
We spent4 nights here whilst attending a conference at the convention centre. This apartment is located very close to the convention centre and thus very convenient. It is also only about 10 minutes walk to Waikiki beach through the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The owners Caol and Wally were very helpful during checki, especially as we were late arriving, and Carol explained everything. They provide a lot of extras to make visiting the beach better/easier - boogie boards, floaties for kids, towels etc. The building is secure and the area seemed quite safe with lots of restaurants nearby. It is an older building but the apartment is clean and comfortable. I read some of the reviews about noise but had no problem sleeping. The air conditioning struggled a bit to keep the place cool but I visited Hawaii so want it to be warm!
We booked to stay here for four days in July. The listing description was inaccurate and extremely dishonest. We ended up leaving two days early because of how filthy and disgusting this place was. Beware of the other reviews- they are a combination of not recent and plugged reviews.
Below is what I sent them after this terrible experience-
I appreciate your message. I wish I could reciprocate with some kind words about your unit. I found it to be not like described and in poor shape. The air conditioner in the room attached to the living room did not work - it blew air but it was not cool. There was no fan in the living room- the table fan blew very little air in a limited trajectory. The temperature in the apartment was unbearably hot. The power tripped multiple times and after resetting the breaker a couple of times, I just stopped doing it as I did not want to create a fire hazard. This also meant that We had no ac in both rooms.
The bathtub did not drain normally - extremely slow and had rust spots in it. The toilet seat was broken and kept moving off it's pivots. We saw multiple cockroaches both at night and also during the day in different parts of the apartment- I was unable to use the air bed as I could not sleep close to the floor with roaches around. There was dirt on all fans, above the refrigerator and the bathroom had hair left over from earlier in the bath area.
It was an extremely unpleasant experience and we felt exhausted after not being able to relax or sleep there. We left earlier than planned, and did not stay the full four nights- we left on the third day.
I do unto others as I expect to be done to me- if this was my property, I would refund at least one night and the cleaning fee in addition to my security deposit.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for four days at the end of July. First and foremost, the location is amazing! It is walkable to all of Waikiki, but I still recommend renting a car since there is so much to do on Oahu than just Waikiki! FYI, the unit comes with a FREE full sized parking spot in the garage (a huge bonus!)
Carol was extremely hospitable and met me in person to show me the unit. She went over everything and gave me a quick tour of the building.
The plus side of the condo is that everything is very clean. It has a very homey feel to it. The space will feel kind of tight if you are at full capacity (5 persons). One of the bedrooms is open to the living room so that should be considered. But there is plenty of hot water to go around. The unit also comes with a nice open balcony where you can enjoy the cool Hawaii breeze.
The only downside about the unit (besides the somewhat slow internet) is that the window air conditioning units are rather loud, and they don't do a good job of cooling down the unit. HOWEVER, we went during the peak of "summer", so you won't have this problem during any other time of year. That said, it was only hot in the unit in the middle of the day, and if you are busy exploring Oahu (which you should be doing!) then it won't be a problem at all.
Also, one of the previous reviews mentioned that the building faces a very busy street, with many police cars and fire trucks going by. While it is busy outside, I didn't have an issue with the noise, and I am EXTREMELY sensitive to noise. I think it's comparable to any other urban environment. If you are looking for a super quiet location then this isn't it. But if you want everything that Honolulu has to offer in a cozy and extremely affordable package, don't wait any longer!
First of all Carol and her husband was very accomadating and easy to get along with, filled with the Aloha spirit!!!. The palce we rented, price wise was excellent, everything was upgraded. 2 bedroom 1 bath full kitchen, balcony(lanai), very clean carpet throughout, very homey. It fit 2 couples plus with an inflateable bed if needed for the kids. Not only is the place in a great location in Waikiki, it is in between Waikiki beach and Alamoana Shopping center so it is perfect, if you dont have a car it is walking distance to both. The added plus is if you do rent a car they provide a parking which is located in the building, and that saves you a whole lot of money because parking around the area is very pricy so it is very well worth it. Next time we come back, hopefully at the end of the year, we will be definatley staying at this place.
