Pool / Spa
Was our first trip to Aruba and WOW what a find here. Consistent with previous reviews this place was awesome! Pictures are accurate though do not do the place enough justice, this place is amazing in person. This was to be a quiet and relaxing vacation and it was every bit of it staying here. Big house was vacant so it was just the two of us for about 9 days, private pool, grill outside, view of the ocean from property. Place is located across street from bus stop where you can quickly get to one of the large grocery stores if you decide not to rent a car. We found the place charming, clean and well equipped with most everything we needed. Communication with owner and Lis was easy. Neighborhood is very nice and we loved the location on the northern part of the island. Arashi Beach was our favorite and was a quick 10 minute walk away. This place was absolutely perfect for our vacation, I would definitely book this place again and encourage others to do so. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Our first trip to Aruba and we found this wonderful vacation rental by owner. Travelling with one other couple we found the property offered everything we needed. The caretaker Lis was most gracious and promptly provided access to the property and amenities. The two bedroom 'in-law' style home is attached to a much larger home - also a rental. The property is located north of the high rise hotel area in a mostly residential area and is pleasantly situated with a view of the ocean from the home's beautiful patio (web photos are accurate). With a full kitchen and private setting we were able to enjoy a relaxing breakfast pool side while we watched local excursion boats sail by. A resident iguana and other geckos were seen daily on the patio but never a bother. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking a meal - including an outside grill. There are limited condiments in the cabinets but a major grocery store can be found south of the property. At midweek Lis stopped by to clean and inquire if we needed anything - the pool was cleaned at the same time. Access to ocean snorkeling was a quick walk across the street. Overall I can't think of anything that was lacking during our stay. We truly had a wonderfully relaxing stay!
Perfect size and location!
This is the second time we have stayed at this property, the first time we rented both the main house and this guest house with a large group of family and friends. This time it was just my husband and myself on this trip. We love the location as it is a short walk to a great snorkeling spot (across the street and to the left) that we went to everyday. Although there is beach directly across the street you can not get to the water because of all the rock formation but the sunsets are beautiful. The size of the guest house is perfect for two people and perhaps another couple if you do not mind sharing a bathroom as it is a two bedroom house with two king size beds and each bedroom has a TV if that is something you really need. All the dinning areas are outside and there are 3 of them. The landscape has been done very nicely and provides plenty of privacy from the main house. There is also an area for secured parking inside a gated fence. The house came with nice beach towels, a cooler for the beach, floats for the pool, and our favorite thing of all, a charcoal grill, that we used several times!!! The property is located on a corner lot of the intersection that leads up to the light house and this intersection became very busy at times with tour buses and ATV tours. We actually found it very entertaining to watch. We have been going to Aruba for the past 14 years and this year was one of the busiest we have seen it as far as traffic (rental cars, tour buses) and this is due to the increase in tourist this year because of all the hurricanes that effected other islands. We would definitely rent this property again as the owner and the house manager are very easy to work with and provide excellent communication! We miss Aruba already and especially relaxing and floating all day long in the pool!!!
Charming two bedroom with pool. Right across the road from the ocean
It was a perfect space for three people. We made great use of the pool and outdoor patio areas, which were plentiful. The amenities were adequate for our needs. The lack of washer and dryer were not necessary as our wonderful housekeeping crew washed out dirty clothes midweek. I highly recommend this house for a small group.
There were four of us in our party and the guest house was perfect for us. We loved the privacy - own pool, great patio for eating outside and location! Lis, our contact person, was wonderful! Any problem we had was taken care of immediately and courteously. Maybe need a little brighter lighting in the living room area. Difficult to read in there, if you wanted to.
The owner and the manager Lisa are very nice and helpful and very easy to work with. The house is great... it's clean and in a great location and the pool is perfect. There is awesome swimming and snorkeling right across the street. Will stay again for sure
Aruba is one of the most temperate islands in the Caribbean. Constantly moderated by trade winds from the Atlantic Ocean, Aruba has an average daytime temperature of 82° Fahrenheit (27° Celsius), with the difference between median day and night temperatures, and between summer and winter temperatures just 3.6°.
Aruba is an island of contrasting terrain. The southeast has the white sand beaches, turquoise seas, and warm waters. Aruba has an arid, almost desert like interior. The northwest coast, exposed to the Atlantic, has a few white sand beaches, rough seas and a rocky coastline. In Aruba you will see wind-bent divi-divi trees, many different varieties of cacti, and unique rock formations.
