Great place away from the big resorts
This was a great rental for our family of four. The kids played in the pool for hours and we all loved the short walk across the street to some of the best snorkelling in Aruba. The road is hardly busy at all and even when it was a little busier the kids loved people watching. Great place!
Awesome house with amazing view of sunset
We had such a good time. Why go all inclusive when you can rent this house. Short walk to the beach. Snorkeling right across the street.
Great Place in Malmok
My family and I very much enjoyed our stay here. The house is small but the perfect size for our family of four. The outdoor pool area is fantastic with plenty of spaces to sit and relax. My two girls thoroughly enjoyed the pool. It wasn't very clean on the day we arrived, but the pool cleaner came the next day and it was perfect. The house is nicely decorated with two good-sized bedrooms. The large bathroom with giant shower was a great plus, especially when showering off two kids straight from the beach at the same time. The location is also fantastic. It is in a residential area, a little removed from all of the action. But a very short drive from lots of restaurants, stores, beaches, etc. Lisa, the property manager, was great. My only complaint and it is a minor one but something that the whole family noticed was that the bath towels and bed pillows really needed to be updated. The bath towels were thin and scratchy and the pillows in the master bedroom were saggy and not very comfortable. Updating those two things would make the experience perfect. Overall, we were very happy with our stay here and really loved Aruba.
great place and location
Loved the proximity to snorkeling and windsurfing
Our stay in Aruba
This property was outstanding. Well maintained, clean, nice beds and the large bathroom made it very comfortable for two couples. Lisa our checkin agent was accessible and quickly resolved any issue/questions,which there were very few , we had. Pool was kept clean, sunset view was amazing every night. Easy access to everywhere, beach, bars, restaurants, grocery stores as well as the downtown. The kitchen made it very easy to just stay home and cook.
We had a wonderful stay. We would go back again. But next time we may consider renting a car.
As I was booking I had questions. The owners always responded clearly and quickly. We were welcomed warmly by the housekeeper Lis. She was very helpful. We had no car so the evening we landed she kindly dropped us at the Super Foods grocery store so we could grab a bite in their cafeteria and get some basics for breakfast. We took a taxi back. The lovely property is in a quiet neighborhood in the north of the island away from the high rises and palm and eagle beach so after sunset you need a car to get around - we managed easily with taxis. Also the bus stop across the street was useful. We took it to Oranjestad one day. The only thing we were unable to pin down was an exact schedule of the bus timetable. We missec a few and figured it out eventually.
The casita is lovely - self contained and cozy. There is a lot of attention to detail and the needs of travelers, (Thank you Mercedes fot your thoughtfulness!)
There is a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, plenty of towels for bath and beach and a well appointed light and airy kitchen - even the all important wine bottle opener! Lis picks up the towels for laundry and provides a cleaning at midpoint.
The inground pool on the property is a lovely bonus. It is cleaned regularly. We met the friendly iguana - we nicknamed hîm Iggy - as he sunned himself and wandered around the pool we took some great close up shots!
The casita is across the street from a rocky beach from where you can see the sunset. Araushi beach is a short walk away. There is traffic on the road in front but it was not intrusive as the house is fenced in with a gate. We enjoyed watching the party buses ...
My husband, daughter and I were looking for a quiet space to relax and also celebrate a special birthday. It was perfect for us. We look forward to going back for anothet stay. Danki (thats thanks in papiamento).
Aruba is one of the most temperate islands in the Caribbean. Constantly moderated by trade winds from the Atlantic Ocean, Aruba has an average daytime temperature of 82° Fahrenheit (27° Celsius), with the difference between median day and night temperatures, and between summer and winter temperatures just 3.6°.
Aruba is an island of contrasting terrain. The southeast has the white sand beaches, turquoise seas, and warm waters. Aruba has an arid, almost desert like interior. The northwest coast, exposed to the Atlantic, has a few white sand beaches, rough seas and a rocky coastline. In Aruba you will see wind-bent divi-divi trees, many different varieties of cacti, and unique rock formations.
