About Jane Ferguson
I am a Toronto lawyer who lived and studied in Paris for a year when I was in my early 20's. I met my American husband that year in Paris. Since then, Paris has always been a special place for me. We now live in Toronto with our two university age sons.
Jane Ferguson purchased this Apartment in 2012
Why Jane Ferguson chose Odéon
My dream of owing a pied-a-terre in Paris was formed the year I lived there in the early 80's and was finally realized in 2012 when I found this apartment in the perfect location in St. Germain des Pres on the border of the Latin Quarter and a short walk to the Seine - perfect for exploring Paris. It was an estate sale - a rabbit-warren of rooms badly in need of renovation. I took the plunge and spent 6 months doing a total gut and reno. As a result, everything (even the drywall, plumbing & electrical) is all new. I can't use it as much as I would like to so I am delighted to be able to share it with others.
What makes this Apartment unique
The location is superb. The amenities complete. Everything is new but fixtures and finishes were chosen to give it a classic elegant Paris apartment feel. I hope you will feel at home there. (One of my repeat clients calls it 'our apartment'!) Foodies and cooks will love the proximity to the Marche St. Germain food market (open each day but Monday - open 8:30 - 1 Tues - Sat & 8:30 - 1 Sunday) and the organic & eco-friendly Boulevard Raspail market and flea market on Sunday (between rue du Cherche-Midi & rue de Rennes, open 8:30 - 2:30 p.m. Sundays) and the famed epicerie/food hall at the Bon Marche department store south just into the 14th district - about a 15 minute walk from the apartment.

Beauty and comfort in the heart of Paris
Beautiful property, furnished in style, with every comfort. It is impossible to find a better location: truly in the heart of central Paris with all conveniences nearby. A warm welcome and all the help you’ll need for your stay. We’ve stayed here several times and can’t wait to return.
Perfect Apartment to celebrate Mom's 75th
My mother and I recently stayed in this apartment for a 7 day period in October. The location is fantastic - tons of restaurants, shops and transportation (subway, bus and taxi). 15 minute walking distance to Ile saint-louis, Nortre Dame, Seine, Musee D'orsay and more. The building itself is so french with a courtyard. It was very easy (and secure) to get in and out of the building. The lift starts on the 1st floor so a flight of stairs to carry bags. The apartment was outfitted with great WIFI, fully stocked kitchen, renovated bathrooms and kitchen and comfortable beds. The living room is very spacious and lovely with large windows. There are also in short walking distance open markets, supermarkets and more so very easy to shop for dinner. As mentioned on other reviews the front street (the bed rooms are in the back) can be loud and particularly on Friday and Saturday but you really do not hear it in the bedrooms. Also the second bedroom is very small - basically a bed -comfortable bed but just a bed. I stayed in the second room for a week and was fine but it is something to consider. I cannot recommend this place more and would definitely stay here again.
Perfect apartment and best location
We have just spent 5 days in Jane's apartment, this was our second visit. There were 4 adults and the apartment is so spacious and well set out, plenty of room for all of us plus luggage.
Roland is very welcoming and helped us organise transport.
Lovely restaurants and cafes close by, as well as metro within walking distance.
The apartment has all the comforts of home. We will be back!
Best place to stay in Paris!
This is my third time staying at this property and it will not be my last. The apartment is a real gem, well maintained and very clean. The fact that he has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is an extremely attractive feature. It is well situated in the midst of numerous restaurants, bistros, and bars in addition to its nearby subway lines. The local host is delightful. I highly recommend this apartment for you stay in wonderful Paris!!
Great apartment in a great location
This apartment was perfect for two people exploring Paris. Two bedrooms and two baths made it a great choice. Lots of restaurants and markets near. Walk or bus or metro to anyplace in Paris. Farida and Roland were very helpful!
Love this place and highly recommend the apartment.
So Amazingly Perfect!
Lovely apartment, great showers, comfy beds, best location to attractions, restaurants, Metro stations, groceries, markets, etc., etc.! Roland is wonderful with top-notch communication. Didn’t wish for anything more from this rental. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely apartment.
In the heart of historic St.Germain des Pres, steps from St. Sulpice, and just south of Boulevard St. Germain off the rue du Four. Close to metro stops St. Germain and Mabillon. 1/3 of a mile to Luxembourg Gardens. Short walk to the Latin Quarter. In the heart of the city and the famous literary quarter and a 5 minute walk to Cafe les deux magots - a favourite haunt of Hemingway, Stein, F. Scott Fitzgerald and their contemporaries and the Cafe de Flore - favoured by Picasso (who lived and painted nearby) and Jean Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir. Walking distance to many museums. Foodies will love the proximity to the St. Germain market (open every day but Monday), the Organic market on the Boulevard Raspail every Sunday and the famous food hall a 15 minute walk south in Le Bon Marche department store. The apartment is on a small medieval street filled with restaurants, cafes, bars and little shops. A great launching pad for sightseeing, walking, shopping and more.
