About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

A wonderful house in Welches

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 14 truly enjoyed our four nights of Easter week at the Welches lodge. The kitchen was well equipped with all the dishes, pots and utensils we might need and it was the right size for a large group. The living room was very well lit during the day due to all the windows but it could have used higher wattage bulbs in the dark hours. The bedrooms were attractive and there were enough blankets and quilts to keep everyone warm. Having the extra room atop the garage was a nice private place for our newly engaged couple. We even found some vinegar for dying the Easter eggs and some baskets for collecting the hidden eggs. All in all it made for a great family reunion location.

Beautiful house, great set up inside.

  • 4 of 5

We used this house as a retreat for a group of young adults. Everyone enjoyed the spacious living areas and we enjoyed the kitchen. Unfortunately while cooking I grabbed the hot pad out of the drawer in a hurry to pull dinner out of the oven and the hot pad mit had a giant hole in the end where your fingers go which resulted in a very painful burn on my fingers. That would be a good clue as when to throw things away...the only other complaint was the main room gas fireplace shutting off all the time. It was nice when it was on but seemed to struggle to stay on. Overall a great house. I'd stay there again.
